Reasons for High School Resume

1. Find a job or a better job– 16 and 17 year-olds have new and sometimes

better job opportunities– A good resume can help you get hired

2. Help with college admissions – Resumes are required at many colleges– Updating your resume consistently will help

you produce a high quality document

What Colleges Are Looking For

1. Well-Rounded Student– High GPA– High ACT and/or SAT test scores– Extra-curricular activities– Volunteer work– Job experience– Awards or special achievements– Leadership Experiences– Technical, Interpersonal, & Organizational Skills– Foreign Languages

How to Upgrade Your Resume
