A Whole School SpaceTHE AIGLON DAY BEGINS WITH MEDITATION, a treasured tradition that joins silence with focused reflection to bring every student and teacher together.

But now, we have outgrown our space. For decades, The Hall in the Parsons Building has been our gathering point: meditation, school productions, exams or events all find their home here as part of Aiglon’s daily life. In June 2016 Aiglon launched a private competition to identify an architectural firm to design and deliver a new Assembly & Arts Building. In Februrary 2017 Durisch + Nolli Architetti were announced as the winning firm. Durisch + Nolli Architetti displayed an excellent ability to understand Aiglon’s desires for its new building and offer a design and vision that fits the School’s needs. Maximising space and flexibility with seating arrangements are key components of the design. On page 3 you will see the seating configurations available with this plan.

The exterior of the new Assembly & Arts Building has been designed in a traditional chalet style to fit harmoniously within our alpine campus in the centre of Chesières.

The new building will feature gallery and exhibition space as well as a large space that can be used for whole school gatherings, exams, and events.

The building is designed with flexible spaces which can be adapted to the varied needs of our community. It will offer state of the art music and drama teaching, learning and performance facilities, private practice rooms, and hight quality recital spaces for concerts and performances.
