A warm welcome to Memorial Hospital ofConverse County, Register Cliff Rural Health Clinic,and Oregon Trail Rural Health Clinic who are now liveand contributing data! We also want to welcome MudSprings, Vision Clinic, Western Sleep Medicine, andWYHealth Case Management Program as new users ofWYFI. WYFI is actively building its connection with theColorado Regional Health Information Organization(CORHIO) and is starting work with Utah HealthInformation Network (UHIN).

a n d I n f u s i o n"We are very excited at North Star Pharmacy and Infusion to be a part ofWYFI. Being an independent pharmacy who takes caring seriously for ourpatients over time, as opposed to only caring for patients for a moment intime has been positively impacted by it’s availability to us. The use of WYFIin caring for patients over time is the perfect collaboration in ourpharmacy. Through the use of WYFI, we have had the opportunity to catchmedication errors, dosage errors, drug-drug interactions, and lab valuesneeded for correct medication dosages. We have also been able toaccount for medication discrepancies between physicians when a patienthas multiple providers. We would love to see pharmacy have a role as a keyplayer on the healthcare team. Many health conditions can be overseen inthe pharmacy, as patients see their pharmacist an average of 35 times ayear compared to seeing their primary care provider roughly 3 times a year.
When patients are taking their medications correctly, their healthconditions tend to be managed more appropriately and in turn, patientscan live healthier lives. We also look forward to pharmacies being able tosubmit their data into the WYFI system because it is valuable informationthat other healthcare team providers could benefit from, as well. WYFI is agreat step towards bringing the healthcare team together. The whole isgreater than the sum of its parts."

As a reminder, if you are a Medicaid Patient CenteredMedical Home (PCMH), your clinic will be required toestablish bi-directional exchange with WYFI by 2021 tomaintain your PCMH status.
Due to some schedule challenges, WYFI is moving its first WYFI User Group toMarch 2020. The intent is to provide a regular platform for our WYFI users to connect,discuss best practices, and identify ways to improve the value WYFI data providesyour users. This is an open invite, and we encourage all to participate. For moreinformation on this process, please reach out to Andrea Bailey [email protected]
