Interview Questions
1. Q: Why do you want to work in this industry?
A: Tell a story about how you first became interested in this type of work. Point out
similarities between the job you’re interviewing for and your most recent job. Make your
passion for your work a theme that you allude to throughout the interview.
My answer: What made me want to become a medical assistant is my dad. My dad was sick
with heart failure. Growing up watching him suffer from the pain, hurt me very much. I
wanted to make his illness go away. From that day on I knew I wanted to become a medical
assistant.
2. Q: Why should we hire you?
A: This addresses the candidate’s motivation for adding “true value” (beyond what’s
expected) to the job. What specific qualities and transferable skills make you stand out from
the competition? Have you had a specific job experience that would make you more valuable
to the employer? Have you had multiple promotions? What makes you unique and
irreplaceable? What’s the most compelling item you can describe to prove your
qualifications and interest? Is there something extra you offer besides the basic job
qualifications? *** GIVE SPECIFIC EXAMPLES TO SUPPORT YOUR ANSWER. ***
My answer: why should you guys hire me because I may not have the experience but what
made me stand out the most is that I’m a good listener, and I’m a good team player. The
reason why I say that is because I make sure my patients and my coworkers can understand
me. And say to themselves that I can trust her, I can tell her anything.

used them at school or in the workplace. *** PROVIDE SPECIFIC EXAMPLES FOR THIS
QUESTION. ***
My answer: Two skills that I learn from school is doing the vital signs and the injections. The
