Day Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival in Tbilisi – Tbilisi city tour - / WELCOMING LUNCH / DINNER

Upon arrival at Tbilisi international airport in afternoon, we meet you to transfer to your hotel

where you can relax.

Today you will have an unforgettable lunch at Marani restaurant. Be luxuriously treated to

Georgian gourmet cuisine accompanied by sumptuous dishes and succulent wines at Marani

Restaurant. Set in the heart of Old Tbilisi, Marani restaurant offers the most spectacular views of the Old Tbilisi. The lunch will be accompanied by Georgian Polyphonic singing.

After lunch, get acquainted with the city on a walking tour, passing through the old quarters and the centre, with its famous sulphur springs along the Mtkvari River. Visit the Metekhi

Church, pass across the Metekhi bridge, the first bridge built to connect the Mtkvari River’s

left and right banks, stand in Sioni church, where St. Nino’s cross from 337 AD is kept, and stop at Anchiskhati church, the most ancient church in Tbilisi. Traditional houses with balconies

and grape vines accompany your stroll towards Narikhala, the 4th century fort overlooking the

city. The fort provides an exquisite view of the city and region.

If time permits, take a stroll along Rustaveli Avenue, where notorious architectural and

historical buildings such as the Palace of Youth, Parliament of Georgia, Kashveti Church, Rustaveli Theatre, National Picture Gallery, and the Academy of Sciences reside. In the

evening, enjoy dinner at Georgian traditional restaurant.

Stay overnight in Tbilisi.

Day 2

Tbilisi – Gori – Uplistsikhe - Tbilisi BREAKFAST / LUNCH / DINNER

Enjoy breakfast this morning before driving to Gori, Visit Stalin Museum. Museum complex

consists of memorial house, where Stalin was born, exposition building with tower and Stalin’s

personal coach with interior, by which he had travelled to Tehran, Yalta and Potsdam. You will be able see Stalin’s personal things, study room of Kremlin, manuscripts, gifts from over the

world, Stalin’s mask etc.

Continue your drive to Uplistsikhe, located in Eastern Georgia, Uplistsikhe (literally “Lord’s

Fortress“) is an abandoned rock-hewn town, which once have played an important role in

Georgian history. The place was founded in the late Bronze Age, around 1000 BC, and continued to be inhabited until 13th century AD. Uplistsikhe was one of the most important

political and religious centers of pre-Christian Kartli – one of the predecessors of the Georgian

state. The rock-cut structures include a large hall, called Tamaris Darbazi, pagan places of sacrifice, dwellings, as well as functional buildings, like a pharmacy, a bakery, a prison, and

even an amphitheater. The rock-cut structures are connected by tunnels, while other tunnels

had the purpose of an emergency escape route. Continue the drive to Tbilisi, have free time to relax at your hotel.

In the evening, enjoy a one-hour massage and body scrub in one of the region’s famous sulphur baths followed by dinner at a traditional Georgian restaurant with folklore show.

Day 3

Tbilisi – Telavi - Tsinandali BREAKFAST / LUNCH / DINNER

After breakfast, drive in the direction of Kakheti, the cradle of Georgian wine. Telavi is the

capital city of Kakheti and is home to several of the region's world-famous wineries, art

museums and castles. Have a short city tour in Telavi and visit Telavi open air market (Food Bazaar). Telavi bazaar is a great destination to buy some tasty souvenirs: Churchkhelas, Nuts

and wide variety of Georgian spices.

Continue to Tsinandali, the residence of dukes of Georgia with beautiful English garden, a

museum, and the wine cellar, which belonged to prince Chavchavadze, 19th century public

figure and poet.

Have lunch and winetasting of five different wines and Chacha Vodka from the estate’s own

vineyards (Tsinandali, Rkatsiteli wine from clay jars, dry Saperavi, semi-dry Saperavi and Chacha Vodka).

In the evening, check in to your hotel. Have free time to enjoy at your leisure.

Stay overnight in Telavi

Day 4

Tsinandali – Kvareli - Sighnaghi BREAKFAST / LUNCH / DINNER

Today after delicious breakfast, and enjoying sunrise over the Allazany valley, we head for the

biggest winery tunnel in Georgia, Khareba winery.

khareba Winery: the length of which is 7.7 km. The tunnel in its vaults keeps the huge

collection of vintage wines; the oldest of them are produced in 1840.

Drive to Kvareli, where you will have lunch and a culinary masterclass at a local chateau.

Receive hands-on experience in the preparation of traditional Georgian cuisine, including

Churchkela (a delicacy consisting of a mixture of walnuts and grapes) and Mtsvadi (Georgian BBQ). These preparations will be accompanied by a traditional Georgian feast with homemade

house wine.

Georgia is the only country in the world where wine is kept in clay vessels called “Qvevri”. This

ancient method of wine making and storage is inscribed on the UNESCO list of cultural

treasures. En route visit to wine museum.

“Qvevri and Qvevri Wine” Museum: The complex of the museum consists of 8 meters long

pitcher statue and several halls, where the whole process of producing qvevri (clay wine vessel) and making qvevri wine is described. The most important part of museum are 3 qvevri vessels

with volume of 500 liters, which are covered with glass. So, a visitor has the ability to watch the

whole process of making wine: pressing, boiling, natural filtration, taking wine and pressed skins and so on.

Afterwards, continue the drive to Sighnaghi. Check in to your hotel and enjoy a Delicious dinner with Georgian national dishes.

Day 5

Sighnaghi – Bodbe - Tbilisi BREAKFAST / LUNCH / DINNER After breakfast at the hotel, take a guided city tour of Signagi. Meaning “shelter,” Signagi is one of the smallest towns in the country with one of the richest histories. The city is sits on a hill surrounded by a fortified wall, considered to be the second longest wall after the Great Wall of China. A large variety of languages and nationalities mingle with the unique mountain landscape to make Signagi one of the most breathtaking places on the planet.

Explore multiple architectural monuments and learn about the traditions of local people, all while enjoying the splendid views that open up on the gorgeous Alazani Valley, known as the cradle of Georgian wines. Visit Bodbe monastery. The St. George’s Monastery of St. Nino, sometimes also called the Bodbe Monastery, is one of the most important religious sites in Georgia. Today, there is a nunnery where the monastery used to be, and the St. George Cathedral, part of the monastery, holds the remains of St. Nino, Equal to the Apostles, who brought Christianity to Georgia. After lunch at a local restaurant continue the drive to Tbilisi. Check in to your hotel. In the evening, enjoy Georgian “Supra” in a beautiful local restaurant serving wild, seasonal, and local ingredients, a menu changing with the ebb and tide of the seasons, inspired by Georgia’s rich ancient cuisine fused with culinary traditions from the Mediterranean and Middle Eastern cultures, the very same Georgia had a shared history with. Guests will have an opportunity of sampling variety of Georgian dishes along with famous Georgian wines, while joining toasts proposed at the table and even listening to the songs performed at the supra. Supra, which is celebratory meal with wine, food, song, and toast will be led by Tamada, Toast Master, who is the owner of this beautiful Boutique Restaurant. Guests will be able to appreciate the large collection of at the restaurant of ancient wine drinking vessels from horns to ceramic pieces dating back to antiquity, that creates the ambiance of the dining hall. Stay overnight in Tbilisi.

Day 6

Tbilisi - Mtskheta - Tbilisi - Departure BREAKFAST/ LUNCH/ DINNER

After breakfast check out of your hotel and drive via Mtskheta to Tbilisi. Mtskheta is the ancient capital of eastern Georgia. The country's conversion to Christianity occurred in Mtskheta in 337 AD, and it is considered one of Georgia's most important religious centers. While in Mtskheta, visit the Svetitskoveli Catheral and the beautiful Jvari Monastery, situated on the edge of a cliff. Drive to Chateau Mukhrani - based on the historical tradition of wine-making in Mukhrani region. This is the first and the only true Georgian Royal Chateau, which unites four key components: vineyards, winery, castle and history. In 1512 Mukhrani became the prince’s estate, governed by Bagrationi royal family. Take a guided tour and explore the estate and underground cellars, dating from the XIX century, as well as the modern state-of-the-art winery. Discover the history of the Château Mukhrani estate and the winery. Learn about the traditions of Georgian winemaking, unique Georgian grape varieties grown in Château Mukhrani’s vineyards, as well as modern winemaking techniques used when crafting the finest Chateau Mukhrani’s wines. Have wine & chacha tasting of 4 wines from “Classics” range + chacha and enjoy Georgian snacks: cheese assortment, Georgian bread, churchkhelas and spring water. Enjoy lunch and culinary masterclass of making Khinkali (Georgian Dumplings) and Tone bread baking. Afterwards, return to Tbilisi. Enjoy early dinner at a local restaurant. After dinner you will be transferred to Tbilisi international airport for your flight back home.
