UPDATE THE NODEBWITH M2000


Before starting work on site, you need to enter the following command on the side of BSC

enter SET BTSAUTODLDACTINFO in the Command Input box, and then click Assist.

Set the parameters displayed below the Command Input box as follows:

Index Type: BYNAME(By Name) or BYID(By Index)

Auto Download Active Function Switch: OFF(OFF).

Then, click Exec.

Setting the IP Address of the Site Maintenance Terminal PC

Procedure

To set the IP address of the PC, perform the following steps:

Choose Start> Setting > Control Panel.

Double-click Network Connections in the displayed Control Panel window. Right-click Local Area Connection in the displayed dialog box.

Choose Properties from the shortcut menu. The Local Area Connection Properties dialog box is displayed.

Select Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), and click Properties. The Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) Properties dialog box is displayed.

Select Use the following IP address.

Enter the correct IP address, subnet mask. (192.168.0.71 or other in the same segment)

Ensure that the IP address of the SMT PC is in the same network segment as the IP addresses (192.168.0.72/255.255.255.0) of the BTS so that a maintenance channel on the BTS side can be established.

Click OK to complete the settings.


PING THE BTS

On the command prompt of your computer, run ping 192.168.0.72

If the information similar to that in the following example is returned, the SMT PC and the BBU can communicate normally.

Pinging 192.168.0.72 with 32 bytes of data: Pinging 192.168.0.72 with 32 bytes of data:

OPEN THE SMT


SETTING THE PARAMETERS TO CONNECT TO THE BTS

To connect to the BTS with the SMT:

1. Select Network Port

2. Input the ip 192.168.0.72

3. Click ok


GET THE MANAGEMENT RIGHTS

Checking the Software Versions of the BTS Boards

Click Board in the navigation tree, and then double-click

Board Management in the Function pane on the right


In the displayed Board Management window, right-click the GTMU and

then choose Board Information from the shortcut menu.

The Board Information dialog box is displayed


Loading the GTMU Software

On the SMT, click Site in the navigation tree, and then double-click Forced

Software Load in the Function pane on the right,


In the displayed Software Download dialog box, set the associated

parameters

File Name: Specify the path and name of the target software package required for the

upgrade.

Send Window Size: 200

Version: Type V100R009C00SP72 in the lower box.

File ID: Select GTMU_MAIN from the drop-down list.

Click Start.

When the progress bar displays "100%" in the lower corner and the status bar

displays "Loading Software Successfully", click Close


Activating the GTMU Software

On the SMT, click Site in the navigation tree, and then double-click Software

Activation under Function.


In the displayed dialog box, set the associated parameters as follows:

Version: Type V100R009C00SP72 in the lower box.

File ID: Select GTMU_MAIN from the drop-down list.

Board No.: You are not required to set this parameter.

Click OK..

When the status bar displays "Activation is confirmed and the Site will

be reset in a few minutes", click Close.


Checking the Software Versions of the BTS Boards Verify that the software is loaded correctly:

close and restart BTSM Click Board in the navigation tree, and then double-click Board Management in the

Function pane on the right

In the displayed Board Management window, right-click the GTMU and then choose Board Information from the shortcut menu.

The Board Information dialog box is displayed
