NETWORK ALLIANCEUC-HCA, is a new network affiliate of one of the Oldest and Largest HUD-Approved Housing Counseling Agencies in the Country. NID is the largest African-American HUD-approved National Intermediary of Housing Counseling and Education in the country.
With decades of experience in low-to-moderate income communities, particularly African-American and communities of color, their zeal and conscientiousness has been infused in their network counselors and agency staff.
NID is a leader among HUD-approved counseling agencies in providing client services, shaping housing policy, and knowing what our communities need when it comes to housing and wealth building. As a network affiliate, UC-HCA brings local experienced counselors to facilitate award-winning programs to advocate for and to eradicate homeownership issues that prevent the economic growth of a community.

▪ The Standards were developed to provide a common industry roadmap for excellence

• Nearly 1,000 local housing counseling agencies have adopted the National Industry Standards
• Each state, including the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico, has at least one Adopter
• Over 2,000 counselors and educators work in housing counseling agencies that have adopted the Standards
• Nearly 40 national intermediaries and housing finance agencies endorse the Standards
• Key nationwide programs such as NFMC continue to require the grantees adhere to the Standards
