The Undergraduate Research Opportunity Program (UROP) is an initiative by the Center for Undergraduate Research and Academic Engagement (CRE) to engage more underclassmen in academic research and offer help to our faculty members and graduate students. UROP students participate in a colloquium introducing them to the practice of research, work as research assistants for 5-10 hours per week, and present their Research Mentors' projects and their contributions at the annual Undergraduate Research Symposium in the Spring. As UROP Research Mentors, faculty members, postdoctoral scholars, graduate students, and campus partners will have the opportunity to mentor student research assistants for 5-10 hours a week for a year-long period. Deadline to submit a UROP project proposal: August 17, 2020 For more information, contact UROP Coordinator Alicia Batailles [email protected] - 850-645-0987 The CRE is committed to helping students become accomplished scholars and active citizens—people of character who can drive innovation and enrich our society. To that end, the CRE supports the engagement of FSU undergraduates—from every major—in research, entrepreneurial, and creative projects, under the mentorship of FSU faculty.
