WF 2007 Commander’s Imperatives

1. Emplace controls to combat “Mega-Subjectivity” in Cadet evaluationprocess from SPOTREPs to Final CER.

2. Reduce “Total Control” and increase collective and individual Cadet

responsibility.

3. Continue to expand relative and COE variables and flexibility in all

training.

4. Ensure that LDAC is nested into BOLC I-II-III developmental

continuum.

5. Optimize Cadet leadership opportunities above Squad level.

6. Synchronize and integrate a coherent and evolving operational

scenario into the entire WF experience.

7. Ensure the seamless and simultaneous transition of command for 

both LDAC and Western Region.

Major Changes

Training Changes:• No Chem-lites at Land Navigation• Permanent OIC for each obstacle at FLRC to provide consistency in

cadet evaluations – TACs and 2LTs• 4 New FLRC Obstacles to provide improved mental and physical

challenge• New Land Navigation Written Map Test and Map Sheet• Cadets may make notes in their TACSOPs; However, inserts, pre –

formatted orders or scripts are not authorized

Other Changes:• Expect Cadets to receive 2 immunizations: MMR, and Chicken Pox

Hand carry Shot Records – Recommend getting shots locally if possible

• Branch Orientation will have a Cadet Command Branch Representatives

able to brief the accessions process (Rep will be annotated on CC TDA)

• More Cadet Command personnel will billet “Off Post” due to

a large contingent of non-FT Lewis soldiers serving as the FORSCOMsupport role

• CLS Recertification

 - We are working to set up a re-cert program during WF 07

- 8 Hour optional refresher class – mandatory written/hands – ontest

• We do have the ability to get limited slots for Fort Lewis

CLS Course. Concept is Soldier attends in conjunction

with duty (before or after) at LDAC. Will require closecoordination – POC Mr. Sheffield at (253) 967-9862

Publication Suspense

•  Cadet Command Circular 145-05 – Posted to Cadet Command andWestern Region Web Page mid – November 2006

• Camp and Field Packing List Standardized with TACSOP and WF SOP• 2LT information updated/clarified

•  Warrior Forge TACSOP – Went to print plant in October. Expect

copies to be mailed to BDE HQs beginning mid-November 2006.

•  Warrior Forge SOP – Draft Copy will be furnished at the Warrior Forge

Planning Conference for review. Final copy will be published immediately

following the Warrior Forge Planning Conference and distributed at WF 2007.

2LT Sustainment Training Program

• Purpose of the 2LT Sustainment Training Program is to providerefresher training to ensure our newly commissioned 2LTs are prepared

for BOLC II. 2LTs will have a Job Book for tracking their progress.

• All Cadet Command 2LTs will complete certain tasks during Warrior Forge

while working on the staff or on a committee

• Tasks that 2LTs will complete prior to departure to BOLC II/III APFT and Height/Weight screening BRM (Zero and Qualification) 10km Foot March (90 minutes to complete) Land Navigation Written Test

Land Navigation Day/Night Practical Test

• 2LTs that stay at Warrior Forge following their duties on staff or a

committee will participate in additional classroom and field instruction on

Additional 2LT Information

• PMS need to brief their newly commissioned 2LTs on the Cadet CommandCIR 145-05 prior to them leaving the campus for LTC/LDAC.

• Brief should include: POV travel and responsibilities (encourage POV travel) TDY travel and pay vouchers

Proof 2LT orders carefully and ensure they fully understand requirementsand entitlements. Additionally, ensure the orders are correct.

CTLT

• CTLT – Slots will be provided JAN/FEB timeframe

 – Create OML & identify cadets early now

 – CTLT cadets must be loaded in CCIMS prior to

non-CPDT cadets to ensure correct LDACregiment; cadets depart LDAC and go straight toCTLT

 – LDAC APFT & Land Nav failures lose their CTLTslot and re-filled from LDAC cadets

 – LDAC will coordinate travel from LDAC to CTLTand back to campus/home

Internships

• CC still identifying which internships are available. PossibleInternships and requirements are listed in CCR 145-3-1, Chapter 5.

• Cadets can apply for any internship they are interested in NOV

(Deadline is 1 DEC 06). If the internships come available

the Cadet will be considered.

• CPFT

 – ABN, AAS, MWF, NWF slots will be allocated in CCIMS in

DEC.

 – Intent is for 75% of these slots go to MSII’s -25% MS IIIs

 – LDAC APFT, Land Nav and obst course(AA) failures lose

their slot and offered back to school, then to LDAC – Ensure cadets are physically and mentally prepared

• ABN – APFT failures, 4 mi run failures, heat injuries

• AAS – APFT failures, obstacle course failures (Tough

One / rope climb), equip inspection
