Project Goals
1.) Students will be able to debate immigration issues intelligently as they pertain to the US-Mexico Border using scientific and mathematical data.
2.) Students will pick an issue related to the US-Mexico Border and create/implement solutions.
Possible Project Standards
Math-plotting data and finding best-fit models-calculate rates of change-creating an unbiased sample-displaying data statistically

Chemistry-all about water-chemical bonding-polarity vs. non-polarity-hydrocarbons-ions-methods for testing water
Project Plan
Step 1: Research & Collect Data-population trends-public opinion polls & surveys (AZ vs. CA)-collecting environmental data (i.e. water quality testing)-compare & contrast socioeconomic levels-media pertaining to the issue-governmental policies on immigration

Step 2: Team Discussions & Peer Feedback-Socratic Seminars-Debates-Writing Position Papers-Presentations via Glogs, Prezies, Skype, etc.

Step 3: Create a Solution-Students will pick an issue related to the US-
Mexico border and create a solution.
Step 4: Implement Solution -Students will take action if possible.-EX: documentaries, letters to politicians,
newspapers, webpages, blogs, glogs, etc.
