UNH ESL Bridge and Pathway ProgramsFor international students interested in full admission to some University of New Hampshire (UNH) degree programs, who have not met UNH minimum English proficiency requirements, the UNH English as a Second Language (ESL) Program and Global Student Success Program offers a wide array of intensive English language courses at various levels of English instruction. Undergraduate students who do successfully gain admittance to the University of New Hampshire, can apply up to 16 credit hours from their work in the ESL Institute as University of New Hampshire credit. The Carsey School of Public Policy at the University of New Hampshire is nationally recognized for its research, policy education and engagement. The Carsey School takes on the pressing issues of the 21st century, striving for innovative, responsive and equitable solutions.

The College of Engineering and Physical Sciences is dedicated to teaching, research, and service, reflecting the University of New Hampshire’s mission as a land, sea and space grant institution. The college offers a full array of bachelors, masters and doctoral degrees in engineering, mathematics, computer science, chemistry, earth science and physics as well as interdisciplinary programs in materials science, environmental engineering and ocean engineering.

The College of Health and Human Services has eight departments in the health professions: communications sciences and disorders; human development and family studies; health management and policy; kinesiology; nursing; occupational therapy; recreation management and policy and social work. Our undergraduate programs are nationally accredited and boast high success rates on board licensing examinations. Using state-of-the-art instructional methodologies and contemporary techniques, our professors join academic theories with clinical practice.

The College of Liberal Arts cultivates thinkers, creators, and doers through research, scholarship, and creative projects. The liberal arts are central to the university’s mission to engage students in responding to the grand challenges of today and tomorrow. Offering opportunities for study in the humanities, social sciences, fine and performing arts and education, the college prepares students for fulfilling careers and flourishing lives.

The College of Life Sciences & Agriculture offers associates, bachelors, masters and doctoral degrees that encompass the wide spectrum of life sciences, agriculture, and natural resources. The college is made up of world renowned faculty who combine teaching with a passion for research and public service. Their work to understand the nature of biological systems, manage and conserve natural resources, improve agricultural profitability and sustainability, enhance health and nutrition, and foster economic development has

earned UNH nationwide recognition as a top-tier land, sea and space grant university.

The School of Marine Science and Ocean Engineering is the university’s first interdisciplinary school, designed to address today’s highly complex ocean and coastal challenges through integrated graduate education, research and engagement. Combining traditional faculty and program strengths in oceanography, marine biology and ocean engineering with an emerging marine policy focus, the School of Marine Science and Ocean Engineering provides its students with the scientific underpinnings of these disciplines while training them to contribute to and engage in scientifically informed policy and resource management.

The Peter T. Paul College of Business and Economics offers bachelors, masters and doctorate degrees in business administration, economics, hospitality management, decision sciences, marketing and management. With a placement rate of more than 95% for graduates across all degree areas, Paul College offers a top-tier education and empowers students with the academic foundation, specialized knowledge, skills and hands-on learning experiences to develop as principled, well-rounded and hard-working professionals and leaders.

The Thompson School of Applied Science offers associate degree and diploma programs in the areas of applied animal science, civil technology, culinary arts, forest technology, horticultural technology, integrated agriculture management, veterinary science and others. Thompson School faculty bring significant work experience in industry and business, preparing students for career success through practical, science-based education.

The University of New Hampshire School of Law, formerly Franklin Pierce Law Center, has been a global leader in innovative legal education for more than 40 years, continuously evolving to ensure graduates are prepared to practice today’s law in essential areas including intellectual property, social justice, commerce and technology, international criminal law and justice and others. UNH Law’s intellectual property faculty is among the largest in the field and the IP program has ranked top 10 in the U.S. for more than 25 consecutive years. UNH Law’s LLM and master’s programs include on-campus and online options.
