PIEE SCHOOL
The program is organized in conjunction with the University of Malaga through its Programa Internacional de Estudios de Español (PIEE). Ronda offers an ideal environment for students to advance in the Spanish language and culture. Located in the mountains, between Seville and the coast, Ronda can truly claim to be one of the most scenic towns in Andalucía.
While living with a host-family, you will find out that Spanish is more than a textbook language. It becomes a living and working language, spoken and written on a daily basis.
With a family stay, you will be able to practice and improve your Spanish language skills. This experience will also motivate you to pursue your studies of a foreign language.
What Does The Family Home Stay Program Include?
2 meals a day with the host family (breakfast and lunch), 3 hours of Spanish classes per day and all educational materials. Students are placed 2 per family unless otherwise requested. El Programa Internacional e Estudios de Español has a full time member of staff dedicated to looking after the host families. If an irresolvable problem should arise students will be moved to another family.

Why Choose Ronda To Study Spanish?
A visit to Ronda is a must for any world traveller. Upon arriving, you will find an atmosphere of unparalleled cultural and artistic diversity in one of the most fascination regions of Spain and Europe. The town, considered one of the most scenic in Andalucia benefits a cool mountain climate, rich traditions, and the warm hospitality of its inhabitants make Ronda an ideal place to experience Spanish language and culture.
Why Study The Programa Internacional De Estudios de Español?
In 1991, the town council of Ronda and the University of Malaga, through the Public Foundation for University Studies, established the Programa Internacional de Estudios de Español (PIEE) as an alternative to larger university programs taking place in nearby cities. The teachers are a group of professionals selected for their high qualifications and have many years of experience teaching Spanish to international students. All hold at least a B.A. in Spanish Philology and will do their utmost to aid students. As the maximum number of students per class is ten or eleven, the classes are designed on a very personal level.
USA: 1-800-304-9446 CAN: 1-800-657-7754 [email protected]
Educational Benefits
Teachers and parents can be assured that participants will have a positive learning experience. Not only do students have a great time while learning the language but they also realise the value of a second language. They speak it and see the results. Upon return to the US, students are motivated, serious and have a more mature outlook on studying in general. This eases the work of teachers and provides students with a solid grounding for their future studies and careers.
Cultural Benefits
Living with a host-family, you will find out that Spanish is more than a textbook language. It becomes a living and working language, spoken and written on a daily basis.
You will eat Spanish food (at the times that Spaniards eat), meet Spanish people and have an excellent opportunity to practice your Spanish in real-life situations.
Some of the host families live in private houses with gardens, others in town houses or flats. Most are within walking distance of the school. In general, host families do not have young children.
Host Families
You will receive a detailed description of each family with names, addresses and telephone numbers 4-6 weeks prior to your departure.
Most importantly you can rest assured that thanks to our office in Málaga, we are on hand to meet the group and provide any back up support required.
