DETAILED ITINERARYWEST COASTDay 1 [20 May 2016]: SAN FRANCISCOArrive in San Francisco where the group will be transferred to your accommodation. Spend the remainder of your day at leisure before attending a 6pm Welcome Meeting, followed by an optional dinner at a local restaurant. § Overnight: Good Hotel, Soma. Standard double room.

Day 2 [21 May 2016]: SAN FRANCISCO (B) After breakfast, enjoy an orientation tour of San Francisco. You will experience this chilled-out City that has a vibrant and multicultural heart. With iconic sights like the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz, Lombard Hill, The Castro and Fisherman’s Wharf, it is no wonder that San Francisco is one of the World’s most visited Cities. Opt to take a cable car ride over the steep hills, set sail into the setting sun, catch a tram to visit the waterfront, feast like a King in Chinatown or peruse the zany artwork in SoMa. § Overnight: Good Hotel, Soma. Day 3 [22 May 2016]: SAN FRANCISCO TO NAPA VALLEY (B)After the morning at leisure in San Francisco, you’ll depart and head through the vines to your residence for the next few nights. § Overnight: Best Western PLUS Inn at the Vines, Napa Valley. Standard double room.

Day 4 [23 May 2016]: NAPA VALLEY (B) (L)Today we head to Muir Woods & Sonoma Wine Country. You will be blown away by the tallest trees in the World, the Coastal Redwoods. You will get the opportunity to wander through the paths between the trees and marvel at their size, then head to Sonoma wine country to enjoy a relaxing afternoon tasting some of California’s famous wine. Lunch today is included.

Day 5 [24th May 2016]: NAPA VALLEY (B) (L)After breakfast head into the heart of Napa. On this educational tour, you’ll walk through the vineyards, view the wine caves, and watch a wine-making demonstration. There’ll also be plenty of time to taste the nectar of the gods and enjoy a delicious lunch that showcases the local produce.

Day 6 [25 May 2016]: NAPA VALLEY TO BISHOP (B)After breakfast today you will travel via Tioga Pass and enjoy the view of Mono Lake and the Tufa Towers. Drive through the incredible Yosemite National Park and Marvel at the Giant Sequoias on a nature walk. Later we will travel on to Bishop. Day 7 [26 May 2016]: BISHOP TO LAS VEGAS (B)Today, we will head to desolate Death Valley — the hottest, driest, and lowest spot in North America. We will journey through one of the country’s most rugged and beautiful landscapes and soak in the dramatic landscape. Day 8 [27 May 2016]: LAS VEGAS (B)After breakfast the day is yours at leisure to enjoy exploring the Vegas strip, opt for a limousine tour, catch a show or try your luck at the slots.Las Vegas is the gambling capital of the world, but there’s plenty to do along the Strip for gamblers and non-gamblers alike- shops, amusement rides, dance clubs and great value ‘all you can eat’ buffets. Day 9 [28 May 2016]: LAS VEGAS TO GRAND CANYON NATIONAL PARK (B, D)After breakfast we will travel on to the spectacular Grand Canyon. Take a guided walk along the rim of the Grand Canyon or opt for a helicopter tour. Alternately you can stroll the meandering South Rim Trail, hike your way down to Plateau Point or simply relax at the canyon’s edge and admire the views over one of the world’s natural wonders. This national landmark is 18 miles wide, 277 miles long and over a mile deep, making it one of the largest canyon systems in the World. No matter how many pictures you’ve seen, you cannot fail to be awed by the Grand Canyon. Day 12 [31 May 2016]: LAUGHLIN TO LOS ANGELES (B)After breakfast we will travel on to get familiar with the city of Los Angeles. Upon arrival you will enjoy a guided city tour. Los Angeles is world-renowned for the streets of Hollywood and Beverly Hills and the shopping on Rodeo Drive. From Venice Beach to Disneyland, it’s a veritable smorgasbord for the senses. Keep your eyes peeled for celebs while heading around the ‘City of Angels.’ Tonight you have the option to attend dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 13 [1 June 2016]: LOS ANGELES (B)After breakfast our West Coast USA tour will come to an end. There will be a group departure transfer to the airport, for your trip home or on to Chicago for those booked on the East USA Tour. You can also stay on in Los Angeles for a few days… it’s completely up to you.
