Capital, Currency, Languages Spoken
• The capital of the USA is Washington D.C.• The currency is the United States
Dollar ($ USD)• English is the national language. However
Spanish is spoken by about 35 million people in the US. Chinese is also spoken by about 2.5 million people.
• The population is around 317,460,000 people.
Government
• The United States is the world's oldest surviving federation. It is a constitutional republic and representative democracy, "in which majority rule is tempered by minority rights protected by law". The government is regulated by a system of checks and balances defined by the U.S. Constitution, which serves as the country's supreme legal document.
Main Religions
• Over half of Christian Americans are Protestant. Rhode Island is the only state where the majority of the population is Catholic. Nearly 20% of Americans say they are atheist, agnostic or have no religion. There are also people who practice Judaism, Buddhism, Hinduism, Islam and Unitarian Universalism.
