HOME ALONE?Birth-Grade 5: NEVERGrades 6 & 7: Up to 6 hours with access to adult supervision but NEVER overnight.Grades 8, 9 & 10: Up to 12 hours but NEVER overnight.Grades 11 & 12: Yes (May be alone for up to 48 hours, but must be checked on by an adult every 12 hours. Minors must have telephone access to a neighbor in case of an emergency and must know where one parent is.
BABYSITTING?Birth-Grade 5: NEVERGrade 6: Siblings only! Up to 3 hours with access to adult supervision.Grade 7: Up to 6 hours with access to adult supervison but NEVER overnight.Grades 8, 9 & 10: Up to 12 hours but NEVER overnight.Grades 11 & 12: Yes
UNATTENDED IN A VEHICLE?Birth-Grade 3: NEVERGrades 4 & 5: Up to 10 minutes (keys removed and handbrake applied)Grades 6 & up: Yes
UNATTENDED OUTSIDE?Birth-4 years: NEVERGrades K-3: If in a playground or yard. (Must be in sight or hearing distance from a parent or supervising adult at all times.)Grades 4 & 5: If in a playground or yard with ready access (in person) to adult supervison.Grades 6 & 7: Up to 6 hours with access to adult supervisionGrades 8 & up: Yes
TO AND FROM SCHOOL?Grades K-Below: May not walk alone to and from school or other supervised activitiesGrades 1-5: May walk alone to and from school and other supervised activities
