Usborne Starter PacksUsborne starter packs contain all the extra sprites and backdrops used to make the projects in Coding for Beginners using Scratch – all you need to do is add the code. You can also use these sprites

and backgrounds in your own projects.

Where can I find them?They’re saved in the Usborne Scratch account. To access this, click on the link on the Usborne Quicklinks site, or go to https://scratch.mit.edu/users/Usborne/

The starter packs are listed in Shared Projects, along with all the other projects in the book.

What’s inside?

Sprites – characters or objects which you can animate

Backdrops – pictures which you can use to set the scene

How do I use them?1 Click on a starter pack to open it.

2 All the sprites and backdrops inside are viewable on the project page.

3 Click See inside to open the coding screen.

4 Click Remix to save a copy to your own Scratch account (you need to be logged in to do this).

5 Get coding! Follow the instructions in your book to create the code for the project you chose.

6 When you’re finished, click Share to share your work with the Scratch community (including us). We’d love to see what you can make!
