“Attending the USC Language Academy has been very helpful for my professional life.

The Academy teaches us English in different fields from basic skills like grammar and

writing, to business English, which is connected to my major. The Language Academy is

a gate between my home city, Paris, and the City of Angels. I have discovered so many

things. I am very glad to have had the opportunity to do it, and it will stay etched in my

memory forever.”

Marc Ferrari, France

“I enjoyed life at the USC Language Academy. When I went to America, I couldn’t

speak English at all, but now I can communicate well with people from many different

countries. My favorite experiences were the Academy activities because I was able to see

many places around Los Angeles. I also enjoyed living in campus housing at USC. I made

dinner with friends who lived next door, and my resident advisor planned activities

where I had a chance to practice speaking English with other students.”

Masami Seta, Japan

“I am thankful to all my teachers and the staff at the USC Language Academy who

helped me achieve my goal of learning English. It will help me a lot because I plan to

study international business. Also, I really enjoyed everything at the Academy, and I will

never forget the great memories that USC gave me, such as meeting friends from many

different countries, the places that I visited and, of course, my teachers.”

Jose Alfredo Godinez, Mexico

“The USC Language Academy is the best place to learn English, not just in a classroom

but in the surrounding environment. I’ve met a lot of new, good friends. My English

language skills have improved a lot. I have a better TOEFL score after taking the

TOEFL track preparation here. I would like to say thank you to the Language Academy

teachers, faculty and staff for helping me get my best from their best. I love the USC

Language Academy!”

Nattaporn Pornpithayalert, Thailand

“My favorite part about the USC Language Academy is Oral Skills class. This class

provides a good environment for me to speak more and listen to others’ opinions. In

the future, I wish to enter USC’s graduate school and get my master’s degree, so I need

a huge vocabulary and strong English skills. I have also met numerous friends from all

over the world, and have learned many different cultures from them.”

Cheng-Ta Yang, Taiwan
