Promotional activity for regular shell eggs remains lackluster as stores featuring

eggs are again less than the previous week. The average price of Large White

eggs, Grade A or better, offered to consumers is only a few cents higher than

last week. Grocers offering shoppers "no price" incentives more than doubles

the number offered a week ago. Ads for Medium sized eggs are maintaining a

steady presence, however ads for Extra Large eggs decline. Featuring of

specialty shell eggs declined due to a sharp drop in promotions for cage-free

eggs. Promotions for omega-3 eggs increased, USDA Organic type egg

promotions are about the same, however vegetarian fed egg ads are fewer in

numbers. Features for liquid eggs increased.
