USER GUIDE

The following items should be set/verified on the “Alerts & Settings” screen.1. Set/Verify the “Battery Floor Percent” using 20% (see page 10 for instructions)2. Set/Verify the “Charger’s Max Current Rating” (see page 10 for instructions)3. Set/Verify the “Rated Pack Voltage” (see page 11 for instructions)4. Set/Verify the “Rated Pack Amp Hours” (see page 11 for instructions)

After setting, or verifying, the “Rated Pack Voltage” and “Rated Pack Amp Hours”, the module must be rebooted. This is done by removing the 6-pin connector on the module labeled “Vehicle Port” from its receptacle, waiting a moment, and then plugging the connector back in. Please see the Module Features section of the User Guide for help identifying the “Vehicle Port.”

For the best user experience, it is recommended to fully charge the vehicle batteries, allowing the charger to run to completion, after a module reboot. The first charge after a reboot enables the module to more accurately determine the State of Charge (SOC) of the battery pack.

The user is highly encouraged to set the “Password for Admin Retrieval”. This is accomplished on the “Alerts & Settings” screen within the app. This password will be saved on the module to provide a method to connect a new smart phone to the module using the “Connect Via Password” screen and this password if no smart phones with Administrative privileges are available to grant this access in the standard way using the “Alerts & Settings” screen. NOTE: A default password is not provided.

The user may also wish to change the “Device Name”. This is accomplished on the “Alerts & Settings” screen within the app. Please note that it may be necessary to reboot the smart phone running the app in order for the new device name to be utilized. Please see the “Rebooting the Smart Phone” section of the User Guide if instructions are needed to do so.If the vehicle lock option was purchased, enter 207946034 to activate the vehicle lock functionality on the “Register Vehicle Lock” screen within the app.If the initial set up was not performed with the end user’s smart phone, please see the “Give Next Connect Admin Privileges” section of the User Guide for instruction regarding giving the end user’s smart phone Administrative privileges.

USER GUIDESpeedometerDisplays the golf cart’s speed through a digital and analog display. Change the speed units (MPH/KPH) on the “Alerts & Set-tings” screen.NOTE: Because the speedometer uses the smart phone’s GPS functionality to determine speed, poor GPS signal strength will have an adverse effect on the functionality of the speedometer.

Status DisplayThe status of your golf cart’s battery pack, as well as the status of the app’s Bluetooth® Smart connection, is displayed in the center of the screen. Charging: battery pack is currently charging and the approximate time remaining in minutes is displayed until the charge cycle is complete.Discharging: battery pack is currently discharging, which occurs both when the vehicle is in use and when the vehicle is idle but not charging.Regen: battery pack is currently receiving regenerative braking energy from the vehicle.Bluetooth® Scanning: the app is currently searching for available modules.Bluetooth® Connecting: the app is currently connecting to a module.

State of Charge MeterThe meter displays the battery pack State of Charge (SOC) both graphically and numerically as a percentage. As the battery pack charges or discharges, the meter will change color from green to yellow to red. These levels are approximate based on your batteries’ output, and Pro-Fit recommends recharging once SOC levels reach 20%. The “slash” at the top mirrors the SOC Meter color and is present on all app screens.

Additional MetricsThe bottom left corner offers four additional metrics: Amps, AH Discharged/Charged, AH Remaining, and Volts. Tap on the indicator to change the metric being displayed.

Amps: Current being discharged from the battery pack by the vehicle or returned to the battery pack from the charger.

AH: Battery capacity in amp-hours that has been being discharged from the battery pack by the vehicle or returned to the battery pack from the charger.

Volts: Actual voltage of the battery pack, which decreases during discharging and increases during charging.

Lock/Unlock ButtonTo register/enable the Vehicle Lock function, please see the “Initial Set Up After App Download” section on page 4.If the Vehicle Lock option was purchased and registered, the button in the bottom right hand corner will be present. To lock the golf cart, tap on the button when it displays “LOCK”. A dialog box will open to confirm your selection. The golf cart cannot be locked when a certain discharge current level is detected, indicating that the vehicle is still in use. Moreover, the golf cart must have been at a complete stop for approximately the last 20 seconds when the “LOCK” button is tapped, other-wise a dialog box will let the user know that the required idle period has not yet expired. To unlock the golf cart, tap on the button when it displays “UNLOCK”. Additionally, the golf cart can be locked or unlocked by tapping the padlock button in the upper right hand corner. This button also graphically indicates whether the golf cart is currently locked or unlocked.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ) AND TROUBLESHOOTING

AppQ) Why does the app report the battery voltage as being much higher than the nominal voltage of my battery pack (36 or 48 volts)? A) A battery pack that measures at its nominal voltage is either in use or close to fully discharged if not in use. A fully charged battery pack can measure a good deal higher than its nominal voltage when not in use and considerably higher when under charge.

Q) Why am I not able to connect to the module? It seems to connect for a second and then the connection drops. A) Connection privileges are limited to ten (10) smart phones per module. If the module has given permission to less than ten (10) smart phones, and you have attempted to connect a number of times, the smart phone that you are attempting to connect to the module likely does not have connection privileges. A smart phone with Administrative privileges needs to allow connection privileges from the “Alerts & Settings” screen by selecting either “Accept All Devices on Next Connect” or “Give Next Connect Admin Privileges”. Please see the “Alerts & Settings” section of the User Guide for more information. Alternatively, if an optional “Password for Admin Retrieval” has been entered, this option is available. Please see the “Connect Via Password” section of the User Guide for more information.

Q) The app seems locked up or unresponsive. How do I recover? A) Reboot the app as described in the section “Rebooting the App”.

Smart Phone IssuesQ) The smart phone on which the app is installed is acting erratically. How do I recover? A) Reboot the smart phone as described in the section “Rebooting the Smart Phone”.

Q) The smart phone on which the app is installed has died or has been lost. I now have a new/different smart phone. What is the process to get back up and running?A) A smart phone with Administrative privileges needs to allow connection privileges for your new/different smart phone from the “Alerts & Settings” screen by selecting either “Accept All Devices on Next Connect” or “Give Next Connect Admin Privileges”. Please see the “Alerts & Settings” section of the User Guide for more information. Alternatively, if an optional “Password for Admin Retrieval” has been entered, this option is available. Please see the “Connect Via Password” section of the User Guide for more information. If neither of these options are available, please see your Pro-Fit dealer, and they will be able to manually clear the Bluetooth® Whitelist on your module, which will enable you to connect your smart phone.

Q) The smart phone on which the app is installed has powered down because it needs to be charged, has died, or has been lost while the vehicle is locked. How do I manually unlock the vehicle?A) Unplug the 6-pin connector from the module receptacle labeled “Vehicle Port”. Do not plug the connector back in until the smart phone issue has been resolved. Please see the Module Features section of the User Guide for help identifying the “Vehicle Port”.
