This manual will help you to use the XT423 printer. Please read this manual before using

the printer

STATEMENT

The printer is a class A product. Please be careful to avoid the radio interference.

Safety Instruction

• Don't disassemble the printer yourself. Please read the manual before using it.

• Switch off the printer when there is malfunction, unplug the charger and remove

the battery if the printer's abnormal or have peculiar smell.

• Don't use the printer nearby the gas station, fuel warehouse or other combustible

material.

• When charging, make sure the ambient temperature between -5℃～ 40℃ , using

our original battery and power adapter. The uncertificated adapter may be

damage the printer.

• Don't open the paper cover when printing.

• Don't touch the printer head to avoid scald or damage the printer.

• Don't use the organic solvent to clean the printer head and the shell.

• Recommended to use the high quality thermal paper.

• Please take out the battery if won't use the printer for a long time.

• Power off the printer before replacing the battery.

• The operation temperature is between -10℃ to 50℃ . But the printing effect will

Reading before using battery:

• Reading this manual and label on battery before using the battery.

• Charge battery in proper ambient temperature. If the temperature is too high the

battery may be heated, unshaped even fired.

• Don't disassemble the battery pack yourself to avoid to damage the battery.

• If the electrolyte jumps into the eye please flush the eye with water and come to

the hospital for help immediatly.

• Don't squeeze, mechanical vibrate and shake the battery. Don't short-circuit the

battery.

• Don't put the battery into water.

• Don't expose the battery under the sunshine. Don't use the battery in these place

be affected in limited ambient condition. (higher than 45℃ or lower than -5℃ )

• Selecting the long-term thermal paper if you need store the printed bill for a long

time.

where have too much dust or smoke. Don't use the battery in high humidity

space just like the bathroom.

• Change a new battery while the battery power become too week.

• Keep the battery away from the children.

• If the battery shape or color has changed please stop to use it and change a

new one.

Reading before using the adaptor:

• Don't disassemble the adaptor. Don't use the adaptor if the wire was broken.

• Don't touch the adaptor with wet hand when it is working.

• Don't short-circuit the adaptor.

• Don't use the adaptor in high humidity space just like the bathroom.

• Hold the adaptor body to unplug it. Don't pull the power wire.

• Keep the adaptor away from the children.

3.1 Config mode/Com module

Config module/Com module icon display area: Icon： Bluetooth module Config mode

3.2 Printing status

This icon means the printer is printing or

feeding paper.

3.3 Paper out

This icon means printer paper out.

3.4 Cover open

This icon means the printer cover opened.

3.5 Battery level

This icon points out the battery level.

This icon flashes in charging mode.

The text was display in this area.

4. Assembling

This charpter introduces the operation steps before using the printer. Including

install battery, charge & load paper.

4.1 Install battery

The bat tery & the pr inter stored in respective space after shipments.

1. Removing the battery mask.

4.2 Charging

Insert the adaptor connector into the

printer charge interface.

Charging ：The battery level icon blinks.

Charging completed:

The full battery level icon

display on the screen and the plug icon

blinks.

Please using the certificated adaptor.

The user can print data when charging.

Don't take out the battery when charging.

4.3 Loading paper

1. Remove the seal on the paper.

5. Operation

5.1 Power on

Press the power key continue to 2s the printer will turn on.

5.2 Power off

Press the power key continue to

5.3 Feed paper

Short press Feed key: feed paper 5mm.

Long press Feed key: feed paper to the

black mark or label gap. If there is no

mark and label gap the printer will feed

paper 10cm.

5.4 AutoSleep/Wakeup

Auto Sleep:

If no key operation and no data transfer

in 5s the printer will enter sleep mode.

The screen display:

Wakeup:

Pressing the power key or receiving the

print data the printer will wakeup from

sleep mode.

6.1 Configuration

Enter config mode：Long press config key(in wakeup mode) to enter config mode.

In config mode:Config key: change items.

Feed key: Modify content.

Save & Exit：Press power key or no operation in 5s the printer will save the change & exit config mode.

7. Communication

7.1 USB

XT423 has a Mini USB interface. The user can control the printer through it.

The USB port is a RS232 port also.

7.2 Wireless

XT423 printer supports both Bluetooth 4.0 and Bluetooth 2.0 protocol.

It also supports the Wi-Fi communication.

Bluetooth: distance ≤10M

Default pin code: 0000

WiFi: Support both STA and AP

8. Maintain

8.1 Daily maintain

1. Regularly clean the printer head with absolute alcohol.

2. If the water enter into the printer inside please remove the battery.

3. If won't use the printer for a long time please remove the battery.

4. Regularly clean the printer shell & the rubber cover roller with dry cloth.

8.2 Thermal paper

1. Please store the thermal paper in suitable environment to avoid direct sunshine.

2. Don't open the wrapping paper before using it.

3. Store the printed bill in normal temperature environment.

4. Please select the long-term thermal paper for long time storage.
