User Services

• Mission Statement: User services is committed to provide responsive and high quality desktop audio/visual support to FSU Administrative offices, University sponsored computer labs and classrooms.

Technical Support

• Provides desktop support to selected administrative offices around campus including the President’s and Provost’s office.

• Current Initiatives– Deployment of applications to the desktop via Microsoft’s

Systems Management Server (SMS)– Migration of Novell file sharing system to the Active Directory– Development of a Windows XP to Vista plan– Remote desktop management– Upgrade of student PC recommendations – Assist in the transition of Mailer/Garnet accounts to the JES

environment
