There were many things we had to consider before starting to create the music video:

• Song• Artist• Artist Representation• Visual Content

Beginning Stages

Codes and ConventionsWe didn’t want our video to completely conform to the codes and

conventions of the genre.

We wanted this video to subvert the typical ‘glam’ style and steer away from the teen pop princess that people may expect. To get inspiration for this we looked at the premier videos for artist such as Adele and Lily Allen.

Narrative• We looked at quite a few pre-

exisiting music videos and got inspiration for the narrative we were going to present and stylistic features.

• We decided early on that we wanted the video to be quite simplistic and stripped back with no gimmicks to hide behind. We knew it was going to e hard to pull off a video purely based on emotion but felt we would be able to achieve this.

Audience FeedbackWe realise that audience feedback is very important to find out if you achieved you

goal at reaching and engaging you target audience.

There were both positive and negative comments made however all the feedback was constructive. A few of the comments that were made are listed below:

- Many said they really enjoyed the video and found it very thought provoking- Some said that they would of liked to see more experimental shots and angles

throughout the piece- It was also pointed out that we could of kept a closer eye on continutity- Quite a few people said they liked the comcept of the video and found it very

engaging from beginning to end.
