Using CAMS Online Training

Log onto the CAMS Online Training Go to http://cams.trainingvc.com.au

Enter your CAMS membership number in the username and the word password as your password and click on login. If you have already logged in and changed your password then use the password you have changed.

Set up your profile

1. Click on your name in the top right of the window.

2. To change your password to one that you will remember click on the Change

Password button.

3. Enter your current password and then type in the new password you would

like to use.

4. You will need to check that your email address is correct so your password can

be sent to you if you forget it. Click on the Edit profile button.

5. Check that your personal details are correct, especially your email. You will also need enter a brief description of yourself. Perhaps you can describe what your involvement in motor sport is.

Course tour

The course tour gives you an over view on how to work online and to undertake the learning activities in the module. You will need Microsoft PowerPoint to view this tour.

This areas gives you access to a number of CAMS policy and other documents that you should be aware of as a CAMS Official.

Accessing your training modules To enter your training module, click on the name of the module on the cams home page.

Once you have entered your course there a several ways of navigating between the different learning activities. To get started you can click on the Virtual learning space link on the Module start page.

If you know where you want to go in the module you can use the Jump to… menu at the bottom on the screen to select the learning activity you wish to go to.

When you have entered the module you can navigate between the different learning activities by using the Jump to… menu on each page. Either select the activity from the drop down list or use the next and previous buttons to move back and forwards one activity at a time.

If you click on the Module short name in the breadcrumbs navigation area at the top of the screen you will be shown an outline of all the learning activities in the module. Click on any of these titles to access the learning activity.

Undertaking the Module Assessment

You can access the assessment task directly form the Module start page by clicking on the Assessment link or by choosing it from the Jump to.. menu

or When you are in the Assessment page, click on the Attempt quiz now button. You are able to have three attempts at the assessment and you must achieve a score of at least 80% to demonstrate the required understanding of the module.

All the questions require you to select the most appropriate answer(s). If the options have a check box you can choose more than one option. If the options have a radio button then only one option can be selected.

When you have answered all the question in the assessment click on the Submit all and finish button. This will send the quiz for marking. If you have not completed all the questions but would like to save what you have done and then return to the questions later click on the Save without submitting button. You can return and complete the assessment at a later date.

Once you have submitted you assessment you will be presented with a review of your attempt. This will show you your over all grade let you know which questions you got correct and incorrect.

If you would like to see your grade at a later date click on the module short name in the Breadcrumbs navigations and select Grades from the Administration area on the left of the window.

When you want to leave the module click on the Logout button next your name at the bottom of the screen.

When you have completed your final assessment and achieved a grade of at least 80% you will be able access a certificate for the module. In the “Jump to menu” select the Module Certificate.

Click on the button to “Get your certificate”. The Certificate will download as a PDF file.

The final task is for you to complete the Module feedback. CAMS values your opinion and your feedback will help in improving the online training programs. Your responses will be anonymous. Click on the Module Feedback link in the Jump to menu.

Click on “Answer the questions”.

Complete the form by either entering appropriate information or selecting appropriate options.

Click on the “Submit your answers” button to submit your feedback form.
