The use of screencasts, podcasts, and video presentations add significant depth to any class environment.
I used a screencast on “Screencast-O-Matic” to showcase the proper way to complete assignments on Study Island.
I made a podcast on an author.
I created a stunning video that included
pictures and video of my daughter.
“There’s so many tools!”

SCREENCASTING!
Screencasting was a highly
useful tool. I plan on using
this more to include tutorials
on how to successfully start
projects/assignments.
The Most Handy Tool

Podcasting:
Created a podcast on American author Ralph Waldo Emerson. This can be saved, available for students at any time, and prepared for linguistic/auditory learners.
Video Generation:
Shared with colleagues and wife, showcasing my highlights of my daughters’ first few months of life. Animoto is a wonderful resource to use online.
AND...
Success with Multimedia

Using Audio and Video
effectively:I love the resources and the new ideas
generated with iMovie, Animoto, Snapfish,
YouTube, Teacher Tube, et cetera; however,
creating first-rate projects became an issue. It took me over an hour to get my school computer’s microphone to finally work, which was the most frustrating experience of the class. I wanted the audio to be crystal clear, and in the end, it was not.
“This was challenging...”

MOODLE:
easy to navigate
clear assignments
useful links
ONLINE LEARNING:
great for busy people
effective for teachers
eye-opening experiences
instant feedback
