Inserting images
Choosing the insert tab and selecting ‘Picture’ opened this box:
Which allows me to select the image I want to use from my area.

Editing the image
I have ‘Recolored’ the image so that it is now in black and white…
This shows how I changed the ‘Brightness’ of the image, which made it look like this…
As the ‘Brightness’ made the image too dark, I also changed the ‘Contrast’…
So the image now looks like this…

Inserting and formatting text
On the Insert tab, I can choose to ‘Draw Text Box’ so that text can be inserted on to the image.
Here is the text box I have inserted, and below are the tools that allow me to format the text so that it suits the house style I have chosen.
These are the main tools that I used:
Changing the font, i.e. Calibri, Cambria, Georgia etc.Adding font decoration, bold, italic and underline.
Resizing text, i.e. Size 18pt, Size 20pt and Size 24pt.Changing font colour, e.g. RED, BLUE, GREEN.

Adding Auto-shapesI have used lines and stars on the magazine advertisement, and this is how I inserted them: I also formatted the auto-shapes, like this:
