Using Publisher.

Firstly, I created the strapline by

clicking on ‘insert’, ‘shapes’

then the ‘rectangle’ tool. I then

filled in the box in the desired

colour.

To create my text for my strapline I went on ‘WordArt’ and typed ‘BEST FOR SKY & VIRGIN’

as this is stereotypical of TV & Satellite Week magazines. I then inserted the Sky and Virgin

Media logos onto the strapline.

I then wanted to get rid of the

white space around the Virgin

Media logo so went to ‘recolor’

then ‘set transparent color’ tool.

To change the background colour I

went to ‘page design’ then

‘background’ and chose a gradient

background.

I created my masthead in a clear,

readable font and annotated where

I’m going to put my main image.

I then went to ‘shapes’ again and created an ‘oval’ as TV and Satellite week’ always include a

feature image within a circle with a caption underneath.

Afterwards, I created another

‘rectangle’ shape as I will place

another image feature and caption

in here which is conventional of TV

& Satellite week.

Finally, I placed where I was going

to put my soap name and details,

and inserted a barcode to give my

magazine front cover a professional

look.
