Customizable DocumentsMany of the tools on this CD can be customized on your computer, so that you can communicate information specific to your yearbook sale.
Customizable documents contain Variable Text Fields. These fields indicate where your customization is required.
Variable Text Fields will be indicated with brackets. For instance, <school name> appears where you will add the name.
To enter your information in a Variable Text Field, highlight the area and enter your information. Detailed instructions for using various customizable documents are on the following slides.

Microsoft Word documents1. Open the letter file in Microsoft Word.
2. Save your document with a new name.
3. Review the document for Variable Text Fields. For example, <your name> appears in letters where you would place your name.
4. Customize by placing your cursor in the Variable Text Field and typing the appropriate information. Be sure no text from the Variable Text Field remains. Further customize as needed. 5. Print the item.
NOTE: Word documents are fully customizable, so you can make any changes necessary to suit your yearbook selling needs.

Postcards (Customizable PDF)
1. Open the postcard document in Adobe Reader. 2. Review the document for Variable Text Fields. For example, <your name>
appears where you would place your name.
3. Customize the postcards. Enter information in the Variable Text Fields of the first postcard only. Information will transfer to the remaining postcards. (A message may pop up telling you that you can’t save the document. Click “ok” to continue.)
4. Print the postcards (two-sided) on heavy paper (color paper looks great!). Be sure you have selected “none” in the Page Scaling drop-down list.
5. Trim the sheet into quarters, and you’ve got four postcards!
6. Label the postcards for mailing and send them out.
Note: With Adobe Reader, you can customize and print the postcard templates, but they can’t be saved on your computer.

4. Print the Table Tents on legal size paper. Be sure you have selected “none” in the Page Scaling drop-down list.
