What is Student Research Center?
A database created by Ebscohost to cater to the needs of middle and high school students.
Provides access to numerous Ebscohost databases in a single, reliable, easy to use, location.
Subject matter includes current events, history, science, and health.

How do I get started?
Visit the Leach Library database page: http://www.londonderrynh.org/library/library_005.htm
Click on Ebscohost andenter the password
Contact the reference desk for the password.

How do I search the database?
Start a “basic search” by entering keywords into the find box.
Limit or expand yoursearch by checkingor unchecking content sources (i.e. magazines, newspapers, etc.)

Keyword Search Results
Basic keyword searches will often bring back thousands of items.
In this example, “wetlands” brings back over 14,000!

Filter Results Using Tabs
Click on the tabs to reduce the number of items to a manageable number.
Clicking on “Radio & TV News Transcripts” reduced results to 119.

What is an “Advanced Search?”
Allows you to limit your search so you don’t get too many items, which can be overwhelming and confusing.
