Exceptional Department of Defense (DoD) Experience

USIT serves many DoD clients, including the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA). USIT’s team of Oracle database and application server  experts  provide  technical  services  in  the  areas  of installation,  configuration,  patching,  and  upgrading  Oracle databases and application servers. Support of mission critical operations  is a priority to USIT: We have produced a number of  achievements  to  gain  efficiencies,  reduce  costs,  and improve overall service. We have reduced open trouble tickets from 40 tickets per week to 9 in less than 10 months.  

Our  technology  improvements,  such  as  introducing  Oracle Enterprise Manager,  have  improved  performance,  increased response  time,  and  improved  system  availability. Implementation  of  technologies  such  as  Solaris  Zones  have enabled server virtualization, which allows  for more efficient use of  server  resources and  the  flexibility  to  react quickly  to changing business requirements. And we have formalized the patch  update  process  by  consolidating  asset  inventories, virtualizing  servers,  and  implementing  a  rolling  software update  process.  We  have  reduced  the  time  required  to perform  patch  updates  while  minimizing  disruption  to operations.   

Award-winning Healthcare Services USIT supported the Military Health Systems (MHS) rollout of the  Defense  Medical  Human  Resources  System  intranet (DMHRSi).  USIT  provided  exceptionally  qualified  training managers  who  specialized  in  Oracle  HRMS  11i  suite  of software  products.  Additionally,  we  provided  software configuration  recommendations,  re‐hosting,  and  migration plans  for  104  computer  hub  sites  supporting  660  Medical Treatment  facilities. We performed  installation of new blade systems  at  all  sites,  installed  and  tested  applications‐related software including custom applications (client/server and web based), Oracle  10g  database, Oracle  AS  10g,  3M  HDM,  and Oracle  11i  eBusiness  Suite,  and  provided  security  support (DITSCAP).   USIT  received  Commander's  Commendations  for outstanding performance at Fort Leavenworth and Fort Bliss.
