DESCRIPTIONConsidering the high quality wastewater treatment and ease of expandability fundamental to the growth and development of the reservation, the Upper Skagit Indian Tribe commissioned the new MBR plant in May 2011. Constructed in a short span of 7 months, the plant is presently handling flows from the tribe’s Resort and is equipped to service also the future expansions including golf course, shopping complex and an additional hotel. As the discharge is going to a ground water aquifer, it has been successfully determined that the effluent quality from the MBR has been meeting all primary drinking water standards.
