1. Ne razvijamo samopouzdanje

• Samopouzdanje je krvotok uspjeha

• Hrabri ga imaju pa nude ideje, usude se poduzimati, spremni su na promjene

• Surađuju s kolegama umjesto da ih ogovaraju, “ruše” ili da im podmeću

• Ljudi bez samopouzdanja sakrivaju greške, šire negativnu energiju i pružaju otpor.

2. Ušutkavamo raspravu

• Loši vođe ušutkavaju suradnike jer oni “znaju sve” i ne zanima ih što drugi misle

• Prave se pametni pa priguše nove ideje, zakoče raspravu i stalno “sole pamet”

• To stvara destruktivnu klimu poslušnosti u kojoj se o problemima, idejama i rješenjima otvoreno ne razgovara

3. Glumatamo, nismo svoji

• Svatko odmah osjeti kad jedno mislimo, drugo radimo, treće osjećamo

• Ne valja glumiti nešto što nismo, naša autentičnost je razlog zašto nas suradnici vole

• Valja pokazivati emocije, brigu, biti na licu mjesta, reagirati, to će privući suradnike

• Biti tajnovit i “poslovan” ne stvara uvijek poštovanje nego strah, a to nije dobar izvor motivacije

4. Dajemo svima jednako

• Kvalitetni ljudi, projekti i poslovne prilike ponašaju se prema Paretovu pravilu 80:20

• Ne smijemo biti jednaki prema “različitima”, moramo poduzimati diferenciranje, nagraditi najbolje, kazniti najlošije

• Resurse u budžetu treba usmjeriti na najbolje programe, projekte i aktivnosti

• Važno je “osposobljavati sposobne”, a ne “svidjeti se svima”

5. Stavljamo rezultat ispred vrijednosti

• Iako je glavni zadatak postići rezultat, ne valja stavljati brojke ispred vrijednosti

• Rezultat ne treba postići po svaku cijenu, nečasno, mimo zakona, gazeći ljude, moralne norme i fair play

• Vrijednosti nisu za zidove i dokumente nego ih valja svakodnevno živjeti

• Ljudi koji narušavaju vrijednosti predstavljaju dugoročnu rak ranu poslovne kulture poduzeća

• Vrijednosti mogu uništiti (Enron, A. Andersen)

6. Ne znamo se zabavljati

• Proslava rezultata, zabavljanje i opuštenost prirodne su ljudske potrebe

• “Zaigranost” i opuštenost ne znači manje ozbiljan već manje dosadan rad

• Ljudi koji se dobro osjećaju, daju bolje rezultate, dobri šefovi žele da djelatnici budu zadovoljni

• Ne radi se o prisilnom “druženju” već o sitnim nagradama i gestama…

7. Nismo autentični

• Autentičnost i integritet su najvažnije osobine dobrog vođe

• Važno je, također, biti pametan, znatiželjan i kooperativan

• Treba znati motivirati pojedince i timove, potaknuti ih da daju maksimum

• Bitna je sposobnosti donošenja teških odluka i ustrajnost

• Dobitna je kombinacija samopouzdanje i poniznost (to se zove zrelost)

1. Odgovornost ponekad znači povrijediti neke ljude

• Vođa ima odgovornost za čitavu skupinu, zbog toga mora povrijediti i naljutiti neke pojedince

• Želja da se svima svidi jest znak osrednjosti • Moramo povrijediti one koji to zaslužuju, a

svakoga nagraditi prema zaslugama • Tretiramo li svakoga jednako, neovisno o

zaslugama, uvrijedit ćemo najsposobnije

2. Kad vam suradnici prestanu donositi probleme prestali ste ih voditi

• Ili su izgubili povjerenje u vas ili su zaključili da vam je svejedno

• Na ovom testu pada većina lidera, izgrađuju previše barijera u hijerarhiji pa je do njih teško doći

• Stvaraju dojam da je tražiti pomoć slabost ili greška, pa ljudi skrivaju probleme od njih

• Pravi vođe uvijek su na raspolaganju i pokazuju brigu

3. Ne dajte se impresionirati od eksperata

• Učite od stručnjaka, tražite ih za mentore i partnere, ali…

• Znajte da i stručnjaci mogu biti tvrdoglavi ili nekritični, možda imaju više podataka, ali ne nužno više razuma

• Dobar lider neće slijepo poslušati ni najvećeg eksperta, posebno ako mu ugađa

• Jer “kad vam je netko potpuno odan, jedan od vas dvojice je suvišan”

4. Ne znaš što sve možeš učiniti dok ne pokušaš

• Posebno cijeni inicijativu i hrabrost

• Ne treba za sve beskonačno dugo tražiti

dopuštenje

• Pretpostavi da je potvrda nadređenog implicitna

• Ono što nije izrijekom dopušteno to je zabranjeno!

5. Organizacija, planovi ili menedžerske teorije ne postižu ništa

• Ljudi su najvažniji resurs svake kompanije

• Valja stvoriti okruženje u kojem najbolji,

najpametniji najsposobniji mogu dati sve od sebe

• Baviti se ljudskim kapitalom najvažniji je zadatak

svakog vođe

• Moraš privući najbolje, zadržati najbolje, ne

smiješ izgubiti najbolje!

6. Organizacijski dijagrami i titule sami po sebi ne vrijede

• Organizacijski dijagrami samo su opis strukture, a organizacijske upute često su glupe i besmislene

• Pravila u organizaciji često služe samo da objasne tko koga mora slušati

• Formalni autoritet manje je bitan od moći vođe da utječe na ljude i inspirira ih

• Osobe koje ljudi cijene najvažniji su resurs u organizaciji, bez obzira na njihov formalni položaj

7. Nemojte dopustiti da se vaš ego izjednači s vašim položajem

• Kad položaj ode, ego će otići s njim

• Uravnoteženi ego znači vjerovati u sebe neovisno o poziciji

• Ako vas položaj hrani samopoštovanjem, postajete meta ulizica

• Nemojte cijeniti suradnike po tome koliko su poslušni nego koliko su spremni preuzeti inicijative i odgovornosti

8. Nemojte padati na menadžerske pomodne hirove

• Nije dobro slijepo slijediti pomodne menadžerske teorije i “mantre”

• Budite onakvi kakve vas suradnici trebaju, a ne “demokratski” jer je to moderno

• Učenje na pogreškama više vrijedi od najboljih recepata koje primjenjujete mehanički

• Vođa prepoznaje situaciju i potrebe pojedinaca pa ih motivira i vodi u skladu s njima

9. Optimizam je množitelj potencijala tima

• Pozitivna atmosfera u timu predstavlja najvažniju vrijednost zajedništva

• Optimisti bolje rade i duže žive

• Cinični i negativni ljudi troše tuđu energiju

• Vođe koji stalno prigovaraju, izazivaju takvo ponašanje i kod svojih suradnika

• Dobrog vođu suradnici žele “oduševiti”

10. Veliki vođe su veliki pojednostavitelji

• Iz gomile činjenica izvlače bitno i to prezentiraju tako da ih svi shvate

• Dobar vođa zna važnost KISS principa (Keep It Simple and Short)

• Važni su jasni ciljevi, jasne instrukcije i jednostavni rječnik kojim se objašnjavaju

• Jednostavnost uvijek bolje motivira!

11. Komandant s terena je uvijek u pravu...

• ...a komandant iz pozadine je uvijek u krivu, ako nije dokazano suprotno

• Ovo je razlog za “plosnate” organizacijske hijerarhije, što više “razina”, to više “buke”

• Odgovornost zajedno s pravima i odlukama treba prebaciti onima koji rade konkretne poslove i najbolje znaju u čemu je problem

• Vjeruj onima koji stvaraju rezultate, a ne onima koji o tome pišu izvješća
