During our Wall of Knowledge session, we discovered many things about Prince of Peace. Prince of Peace is a loving, friendly, caring and welcoming church that gets involved in the community. We want people to know about POP and all that we do.

We also learned that many people will use our site: Staff, Ministry Leaders, Current Members, PG Leaders, Volunteers, businesses, people looking for a new church, visitors to Palatine, people seeking services such as Wedding, Baptism and Funerals.

➤ Love Palatine for easy commuting to Downtown Chicago.

➤ Almost half the population has a college degree and beyond.

“…nice to walk to town,trains etc. I think Palatine has about everything and what isn’t there, you can venture over to the mall, strip malls, or chains in Schaumburg. Palatine has a very nice home town feel in most areas. I certainly don’t think there is 'more to do in Schaumburg" unless you like strip malls and franchise restaurant’s. Downtown Palatine remains very desirable. Fremd is a very good school and we had friends who’s 3 kids went to PG junior, good reviews from them. Check out 'great schools’.

OUR PROBLEM➤ Website looks dated

➤ Too much text, not enough white space

➤ Crowded

➤ Not Fluid/Responsive

➤ Other websites do not look or feel as though they belong to POP

➤ Cannot update the website internally

➤ Bounce Rate is high

➤ No way to join small groups online

Best way to build your site

Wordpress: an online, open source website creation tool written in PHP. But in non-geek speak, it's a powerful blogging and website content management system (or CMS) in existence today.

Share faith: a creative solutions company run by passionate individuals with a common goal to empower the church and to inspire others.

Squarespace: a SaaS-based content management system (CMS) which is composed of a website builder, blogging platform and hosting service. The service allows individuals and businesses to create and maintain websites and blogs.

Fixed Layout: A fixed website layout has a wrapper that has a fixed width, meaning the element’s is set to not move. No matter what screen resolution the visitor has, he or she will see the same width as other visitors. Think of a magazine page.

Responsive Layout: is an approach to web design aimed at crafting sites to provide an optimal viewing and interaction experience—easy reading and navigation with a minimum of resizing, panning, and scrolling—across a wide range of devices (from desktop computer monitors to mobile phones).
