V6 World 2015: Unleashing the PowerThe fi fth Edition of V6 World will take place in Paris from 17 to 18 March, 2015.

The V6 World Congress will once again bring together ISPs, Enterprises, equipment vendors, and industry leaders to share their experience, skills, and knowledge of deploying IPv6 worldwide.

The 2015 agenda: V6 centric, country deployment status, SDN&NFV, open sourceThe 2015 edition will focus on IPv6 centric, Segment Routing, country deployment status, and measurement. The agenda will also place particular emphasis on open source issues. Other sessions will cover in details SDN, NFV and IoT challenges.

The proposals have been analyzed and categorized according to their degree of pertinence by the members of the scientifi c committee. Upperside would again like to thank the members of the committee.

An IPv6 connection for the delegatesDelegates at V6 World and the collocated events (MPLS SDN World and NFV & SDN Summit) will be given the opportunity to experience demonstrations of IPv6 applications, delivered through the Marriott Paris Rive Gauche Hotel and Conference center’s network.

10.00 COFFEE BREAK

10.30 Comcast: IPv6 only X1

Providing the latest on Comcast IPv6 deployment. Specifi-cally discussing pervasive support for IPv6 enabled broad-band, taking X1 platform to IPv6 only, as well as managing tens of millions of devices using IPv6 only. Providing insight on life after IPv4 including IPv4aaS.

John Jason Brzozowski, COMCAST CABLE

11.00 SIIT-DC: IPv4 Service Continuity for IPv6 Data Centres

Say you’ve built a data centre using only IPv6. You’ve now got a challenge: ~95% of the Internet can’t communicate with you. Stateless IP/ICMP Translation for Data Centres (SIIT-DC) is a simple and lightweight way of solving this challenge in a network-centric manner. It requires minimal changes to the data centre infrastructure, servers, and appli-

cation stacks; allowing a data centre operator scale his infrastucture without regard to the limited availability of IPv4 addresses.

Tore Anderson, REDPIL

11.30 Segment Routing in IPv6 Networks

The Segment Routing architecture is data-plane inde-pendent (MPLS or IPv6). Segment Routing over IPv6 requires a new Extension Header. Covering the main aspects, functions and features of the Segment Routing architecture, especially when applied to the IPv6 data-plane. It also covers the details of the SR-IPv6 Extension Header

that is proposed.

14.00 Comparing Public Policy Approaches to the IPv4-IPv6 Transition

The transition from IPv4 to IPv6 is, arguably, a public policy concern. Some national governments have made efforts to encourage IPv6 deployment. By comparing places with the highest and lowest deployment, we can see what government policies have been most effective.

COUNTRY V6 DEPLOYMENT STATUS SESSION

AUTONOMIC NETWORKING SESSION15.30 IPv6-based Autonomic Network Infrastructure

The Internet has become more and more complicated. It re-quires networks to be able to manage themselves and attached devices autonomically and dynamically. IPv6, as new genera-tion of IP protocol, has more autonomic functions, against IPv4. The typical examples are StateLess Address Auto-Confi gura-tion, Stateless DHCPv6, OSPFv3 Auto-Confi guration, etc.

Sheng Jiang, Senior Staff Engineer, HUAWEI TECHNOLOGIES

15.50 Simplifying Deployment and Operations with IPv6 based Autonomic Networking

Specifi c IPv6 properties can be used to simplify secure deployment and operation of networks bottom-up. Autonomic Networking, based on IPv6, can for example help to make networks secure by default, without the need for confi guration. Explaining the current status IPv6 in Autonomic Networking and current standardisation efforts.

16.30 COFFEE BREAK

17.00 Building an Open-source IPv6 Configuration Architecture for OpenWrt

Describing how we implemented and integrated RA, DHCPv6, prefi x delegation and softwires (such as DS-Lite, LW4over6 or MAP) into a multi-homing capable system. Showing issues and quirks we found in a variety of ISP and client implementations and describes ongoing development on autonomic confi guration and management of next gene-

ration home networks as proposed to the IETF homenet working group.

Steven Barth, OPENWRT

17.20 Runing a Demo on MAP-T on the CPE

The demo would be to use a Technicolor CPE, supporting MAP-T functionality, and using the MAP-T to access the web also through IPv4. Showing that v4 is still working next to the native IPv6, which is the target of this transition technology.

Carl Wuyts, System Architect IP Networking, TECHNICOLOR

SDN & NFV SESSION17.40 Strategic Direction of Networking – The Promise IPv6, SDN &NFV: Where Do You Start?

The impact and pace of change that cloud, mobility, big data, and IoT are introducing is unprecedented. As everything becomes connected, how will you shift from connecting the dots to providing a truly fl exible connectivity which unders-tands and enables these new business imperatives? SDN, NFV and IPv6 are the enablers to complete the ability to truly

deliver on an elastic network. Where do you start?

Yanick Pouffary, HP

18.00 Aggregating IoT Data for Operators NFV Cloud

08.30 Applying IPv6 to LTE Networks

SK Telecom has adapted IPv6 to wire in 2012 and was the second service provider to deploy IPv6 in mobile networks in 2014. Introducing transition schemes and issues for migrating IPv6 to wire and wireless networks.

Deoknyong Ko, Broadband Tech Lab Manager, Network Technology R&D Center, SK TELECOM

09.00 Multiple Interface Operation in IPv6

When the smart phone has at its disposal the possibility of connecting to more than one network, i.e. 3G wireless network or 802.11 Wireless Fidelity, Wi-Fi network it can use simultaneous connection capability to its advantage in getting better network experience for the user. Different flows can be directed to different interfaces. Flow mobility can be
