oVERVIEwIn our times, historians and scientists have imbibed, and in turn are propagating, the godless philosophies of Humanism and Materialism, perpetuating an utterly distorted view of origins. Of even greater concern is how these man-centred ideas, or “fables” (2 Tim 4:4), are now accepted by many theologians and Christians in general. Against this setting, this conference seeks to arm you with the true view of history and science, as founded on God’s word, by investigating the ‘history of ideas’. Our prayer is that you’ll be all the more equipped to “stand firm, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist” (Ephesians 6:14) and to “always be ready to give a defence to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you...” (1 Peter 3:15).

Dominic Statham CMI UK/Europe, is a Chartered Engineer. He spent twenty-five years working in manufacturing and product development with Rolls Royce (Aero Division) and GKN Driveline, a leading supplier to the automotive industry. He is the author of Evolution: Good Science? Exposing the ideological nature of Darwin’s theory.

Dr Don Batten CMI Australia, worked as a research horticulturalist for 20 years. His research included environmental adaptation of tropical/subtropical fruits, floral biology, floral induction, breeding, environmental physiology, plant taxonomy, and mineral nutrition. His research on floral induction of lychee and mango overturned long-held ideas which had been an impediment to the scientific understanding of these plants, as well as causing economic loss due to inappropriate management of these crops. He is an editor for Creation magazine and the author, or co-author, of several books, including The Creation Answers Book.

ARTHUR FRANCIS GREEN is a retired business consultant, living in southern England and is married with four grown up children. He is the founder and presently serving as Chairman of the Foundation for Christian Education based in the UK, and operating in India. He is also Chief Executive Officer of Breakthrough To People Network based in the USA, a workplace ministry operating in Ukraine. He is the author of When Fables Fall, Unmasking the Lies of Distorted Science, Humanism and Secularism.

PAUL JAMES-GRIFFITHS worked as a West End Theatre Chaplain in shows like Cats and Phantom of the Opera, and was a missionary to the New Age Movement for six years. Since 2004 he has been working with Edinburgh City Mission. He now runs an historical walking tour and has pioneered Edinburgh Creation Group next to the University of Edinburgh where he works with students.
