VALENCIA LAKES MILITARY VETERANS CLUB ALL RESIDENTS ARE INVITED Join us at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 7th, in the Social Hall to hear CAPT CARL “FIZZ” FISMER Treasure Hunter Captain Carl “Fizz” Fismer is the “real deal” treasure hunter, world traveler, television star, motivational speaker and an adventurer of the first order! You don’t want to miss his presentation and seeing a sampling of the many treasures he has recovered. With over 30 years of treasure search and salvage experience, Fizz, as he is known to friends, is one of the most respected and knowledgeable diving professionals in the world. He has worked with some of the leaders in treasure hunting, including respected Treasure Historian Jack Haskins, Mel Fisher and Sir Arthur C. Clarke of “2001: A Space Odyssey” fame. His area of expertise is shipwrecks...especially Spanish shipwrecks. During his career, he has worked over 300 shipwrecks around the world. He has recovered millions of dollars in Spanish gold, silver, jewels and other artifacts. Fizz directed part of the salvage diving of the Santa Margarita, sister ship to the Nuestra Senora de Atocha which was discovered by Mel Fisher. Then in 1986, he led an expedition to the Dominican Republic, and there located the famed galleon, Concepcion which sank during a hurricane in 1641. He has many more travels and adventures, and received many awards; and will talk about his search for knowledge, discovery and the ambitions of the human spirit and the ability to achieve in life what others might only dare to dream. Plus, he will display a collection of recovered treasures from his many dives. All Valencia Lakes residents are invited to this presentation.
