Me llena de satisfaccin poder decirque el Campeonato del Mundo deMotoGP 2015 se estconvirtiendo, un ao ms, en unainteresante lucha por todos los ttulos enjuego tal y como anticipamos en el iniciode temporada disputado bajo los focosdel impresionante Losail InternationalCircuit en Qatar.Para todos los aficionados y para m es

un placer ver la lucha por el ttulo entre loscompaeros en Yamaha Valentino Rossi yJorge Lorenzo. Est claro que con MarcMrquez tambin batallando hasta el finalpodemos decir que estamos presenciandola poca dorada de la historia deMotoGP. Los miles de aficionados quehan asistido a los circuitos este aotambin confirman que MotoGP es uncampeonato seguido por aficionados detodas las edades. El impresionante xitode Ducati y el retorno de Suzuki y Apriliatambin demuestran que el Campeonatodel Mundo goza de buena salud.La emocin que estamos viviendo en

Moto2 y Moto3 augura tambin ungran futuro para este deporte. Hay variospilotos jvenes interesantes y con talentoque pueden convertirse en la prximageneracin que asegure el xito deMotoGP en el futuro.El piloto que finalmente se corone

campen en cada una de las categoras aprincipios de noviembre en la yatradicional cita de Valencia, en Espaa,ser el digno vencedor del ttulo deCampen del Mundo FIM, un ganador que

habr luchado a lo largo de casi un ao yque habr atravesado cinco continentes.Despus del exitoso retorno de un GranPremio a Argentina, el ao pasado, tras unperiodo largo de ausencia, hay que estarsatisfechos de haber vuelto de nuevo aSudamrica en 2015 y hacer dos carrerasen Norteamrica. Con otros GrandesPremios que se disputan en Asia, Australiay Europa, se puede decir que ste es unverdadero Campeonato del Mundo FIM entodos los aspectos.Como aficionado y gran seguidor del

campeonato -como muchos otros millonesde personas que visitarn un Gran Premio omirarn las carreras por televisin esteao-, hay que decir que slo vemos unapequea parte del enorme trabajo que serealiza para que este campeonato puedallegar a todo el mundo. Por esta razn, ennombre de la FIM me gustara agradecer alpromotor Dorna, a los pilotos, los equipos,los fabricantes, los circuitos y los oficiales,as como todas las personas involucradasen la amplia comunidad de los GrandesPremios todo el trabajo realizado.Finalmente y quizs ms importante, megustara dar las gracias a los aficionados almotociclismo y al deporte, que siguenmostrando su aprecio por nuestros hroesde las dos ruedas a travs de su asistenciaa los circuitos y su consumo por televisin.

Marc Mrquez hizo historia en 2013 al convertirse en elCampen del Mundo ms joven de la categora reina y en elprimer debutante que consegua la corona de la mximacilindrada desde que Kenny Roberts lo hiciera en 1978. Mrquezha ganado el ttulo mundial en las tres categoras en los ltimoscuatro aos y su espectacular estilo de pilotaje, combinado consu carismtica personalidad, le ha convertido en uno de lospilotos ms populares de la parrilla. But his joy was shortlived when hecrashed out of the Malaysian Grand Prix at Sepang after acontroversial battle with Yamaha rival Valentino Rossi.

Pedrosa es uno de los pilotos con mejor palmars en lacategora reina que an no ha conseguido hacerse con lacorona de MotoGP. Desde que debut en 2006 ha sumadonumerosas victorias y ha subido al podio de forma regular,luchando ao tras ao por el ttulo. En el pasado su talento fueensombrecido por las cadas y las lesiones que sufri, pero elpiloto del Repsol Honda Team posee todas las habilidades paracompetir con cualquiera y conseguir el anhelado ttulo que faltaen su vitrina. Tras perderse tres carreras por una operacin en elantebrazo, Pedrosa sum su podio nmero 96 en la clase reinaen Alemania y entr en la historia de MotoGP al superar a MickDoohan en este apartado. En Japn y tras una espectacularvictoria alcanz un nuevo rcord al sumar su triunfo nmero 50en Grandes Premios.

Pedrosa is one of the most successful riders in the premierclass never to have won the MotoGP title having been a racewinner and regular podium finisher every year since steppingup to the top level in 2006. In the past his talent has only everbeen overshadowed by his fragility, but the Repsol Honda Teamman has all the attributes needed to challenge when fit.Pedrosa missed three races in Austin, Argentina and Jerezwhile he underwent major surgery to try and cure a recurringright arm pump problem. Pedrosa returned to the rostrum inBarcelona and his 96th premier class top three in Germanymoved him ahead of Australian legend Mick Doohan in the all-time MotoGP podium list. He then became only the eighthrider in history to reach the milestone of 50 victories after hisstunning first win of 2015 in Japan.

Elias was a title contender in the 125cc and 250cc classesbefore he made his premier class debut in 2005. He claimed astunning first MotoGP victory at Estoril in 2006 when he won aclassic encounter against Valentino Rossi and Kenny RobertsJunior. That success by Elias remains the last victory by a non-factory rider in the premier class.

In 2010 he took on the challenge of Moto2, dominating thenew intermediate category with seven wins and taking the firstMoto2 title that earned him a n immediate return to MotoGP in2011 with Lucio Cecchinellos LCR Honda team. A difficult seasonlanded him 15th in the standings. He raced full-time in WorldSuperbikes in 2014 scoring a best of fourth in Malaysia. In 2013he once again competed in the Moto2 Championship, but thistime with the Blusens Avintia team before joining the WorldSuperbike Championship. Elias returned to the MotoGP grid in2015 as a replacement for Karel Abraham in Indianapolis beforefinishing the season with Forward Yamaha.

Crutchlow lleg a MotoGP en 2011 y su debut con el MonsterYamaha Tech3 no pudo ser mejor ganado el ttulo de MejorDebutante. Las dos siguientes temporadas hizo grandesprogresos y consigui su primer podio en la categora reina antesde pasarse a Ducati en 2014. El britnico finalizaba la temporadadcimo tercero, aunque a mitad de ao se anunciaba su paso alequipo LCR Honda de cara a la temporada 2015. Remarkably, Rossi had not been headed inthe standings since he took the rst of fourwins in an engrossing opening round underthe Losail International Circuit oodlights.

Rossi has been a model of consistency in2015 and he has only nished o the podiumin two races at Misano and Phillip Island. Buthis quest to win an eighth World Title hasbeen made all the more complicated by thefact that Rossi will have to start the Valenciashowdown from the back of the grid. He waspenalised with three-penalty points after hishard and controversial battle with MarcMarquez during the last round in Malaysia,and having reached four penalty points forthe season, he will be in last place of the gridthis weekend.

The initiative now looks to be withLorenzo, who has won more races thananyone this season, with the 28-year-oldvictorious in six races.

Adding to the intrigue of Rossi andLorenzos nail-biting nal round shootout isthe history between the two.

Their relationship has mellowedconsiderably since Rossi returned toYamaha in 2013 after a previously bitterand acrimonious rivalry existed betweenthe two when Lorenzo rst rode a FactoryYZR-M1 in 2008.

With the biggest prize in global motorcycleracing up for grabs this weekend, it is littlesurprise that much of the focus on theirbattle has been about their relationship asthe title chase has intensied.

normal. We are used to staying together inthe same team and also we are very focusedon our own work and at the same time haverespect from both sides. Lorenzo said it was inevitable the tensionwas increasing in his ght with Rossi, but itwould not be any dierent if his opponentwere Marc Marquez or Dani Pedrosa.

Lorenzo, who could win a fth world titleon Sunday, said: We are two World

Champions that want the same thing andit's normal that the relationship gets moretense. But it would be the same with Dani,Marc or any other riders if we are ghtingtogether for the World Championship. Itlooks exciting from the outside, but fromthe inside you can see that there is a lot ofpressure. To be honest I dont have a lot ofpressure because I feel strong on the bikeand I just want to race and do my best andafter the race we will see what happens.

Both have been on the losing side in nalround deciders in the past. Rossi wont needreminding that he led Nicky Hayden by eight-

points coming into the Valencia round in2006 only to be denied by a crash.

And Lorenzo lost the 2013 WorldChampionship by just four-points afterfailing to turn round a 13-point decit toHonda rival Marquez.

Whatever happens in Valencia, fans allaround the world have witnessed some ofthe greatest racing in MotoGP history this season.
