303 STEP BY STEP

STEP_01 Locate the hole in the centre of the tail fairing right. Prepare a type A screw.

STEP_02 Tighten the type A screw into the hole circled in Step 1.

STEP_03 Now locate the circled hole at the rear of the fairing and prepare another type A screw.

STEP_04 Tighten the type A screw into place in the hole.

STEP_06 Remove the protective backing from

the Yamaha logo and place it into the corresponding space in the rear fairing

upper plate.

STEP_05 Retrieves the rear fairing upper plate (Stage 82) and the Yamaha logo (Stage 85).

306BUILD THE YAMAHA YZR -M1

STEP_02 Fit the tail fairing left (Stage 84) to the tail fairing under with a type A screw.

STEP_01 Take the tail light and place it underneath the tail fairing under (Stage 85), aligning the holes of both.

STEP_04 Fix the tail fairing right (Stage 86) to the fairing under with a type A screw.

STEP_03 Now secure the front end of the fairing to the under with a another type A screw from the inside.

STAGE COMPLETE This is how the assembly should look at the end of this stage.

STEP_07 Insert the upper plate into the top of the tail fairing and secure there with two type A screws.

STEP_05 Secure the fairings with a type A screw at the front.

STEP_08 Fix the end of the fairing under into place with two type K screws.

STEP_06 Fit the tail light lens into the end of the tail fairing assembly.

309 STEP BY STEP

STEP_03 Secure the tail fairing on the other side with two more type R screws.

STEP_01 Take the tail fairing completed in Stage 87 and align the holes at the front with those in the frame (circled).

STEP_02 Tighten two type R screws into the

aligned holes.

STEP_04 Retrieve the tank (Stage 66) and align the holes at the side with the corresponding posts in the side of the frame (both circled).

STEP_06 Lead the tank

tube forward through the fairleads on

the side of the airbox, the side of the frame,

the top of the radiator and into the hole in the tank at

the side of the duct.

STEP_05 Secure the tank into with a type S screw on either side.

STEP_03 Fix the fairing at the side with two type H screws (Stage 88).

STEP_04 Fix the fairing on the other side with two more type H screws (Stage 88).

STEP_01 Retrieve the two type T screws supplied

with Stage 88 along with the front fairing assembly

(Stage 2).

STEP_02 Place the front fairing onto the supports at the front of the frame and secure with two type T screws.

313 STEP BY STEP

STEP_06 Fix the seat cover into place,

starting at the rear of the seat base. Work forward, removing the

backing as you go.

STEP_05 Retrieve the seat base and the seat cover supplied with Stage 88. Peel the protective backing away from about half of the seat cover.
