Project Overview – Two New Tanks
• One (Tank #5) 80,000 barrel storage tank (30.5m diameter x 18.3m high*)
• One (Tank #6) 120,000 barrel storage tank (36.6m diameter x 19.8m high*)
• Removal of two existing small tanks
• Tank foundations, soil improvements designed to meet current Building Code seismic standards
• Piping / pumping systems to interconnect with existing infrastructure
• Secondary containment / double-walled to meet regulatory requirements
• Wastewater management system
• Stormwater management system
• Electrical systems and control integration into existing systems
• Firefighting system upgrades
*Tank railings, lights, dome extend an additional 1.5 to 2.0 m

Project Overview – Railcar and Vessels
Railcar Rack Extension• Currently 12 railcar unloading positions on existing tracks
• Additional 12 railcar unloading positions on western extension of rail rack
• Piping / pumping systems to interconnect existing infrastructure
• Increase maximum daily capacity from existing 24 cars / day to 36 cars / day
• Spill containment extended for new railcar unloading positions to meet regulatory requirements

Mitigation by Design
Tanks• Foundations and associated soil
improvement work• To comply with the British
Columbia Building Code
• Constructed to withstand 1 in 2,475 year earthquake
• Secondary containment system / second tank shell for tanks
• Over-fill prevention of storage tanks using two independent level devices (a radar level transmitter and a high-high level switch)
