GENERAL INFORMATION,TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR BUYERS

TERMS OF SALE:1. Each consignor may place a reserve bid on his/her animal(s) if desired.

Should this reserve not be topped and the animal is passed out of the ring unsold, the consignor must pay the normal commission on the reserve.

2. Every animal sells to the highest bidder and, in the cases of disputes, the auctioneer's decision shall be final.

3. No release shall be given until satisfactory settlement has been made.4. Announcements from the auction bloack will take precedence over the

printed matter in the catalogue.

SETTLEMENT OF PURCHASES:5. All purchases must be settled for within the day of completion of the

sale, by cash or cheque, at the sale office.6. Immediately after a purchase is declared, the risk of the animal shall

be exclusively with the purchaser. Insurance will be available on the premises.

CONDITIONS OF SALE:7. All bulls are sold subject to all health requirements set by the Vanderhoof

Bull Committee. Bulls have passed examination by a 3 person sifting committee on the day before the sale. An appointed veterinarian has final say in all health matters.

8. Consignors guarantee sale animals to be in sound health and free from physical defect, contagious or infectious diseases.

9. Bulls have had a satisfactory semen test performed by a qualified veteri-narian, not more than 45 days prior to the sale.

10. The consignor is not responsible for damage by foreign bodies after the animal is sold or for a sickness or injury not apparent at sale time.

11. Each bull carries a Certificate of Registration or Birth Certificate issued by the pertinent Breed Association. Certificiates of Registration or Birth Certificates will be retained by Management until settlement has been made. After settlement has been made, Management will submit the cer-tificate to the appropriate breed association for transfer of the certificate into the purchaser's name.

GENERAL:12. The Vanderhoof Bull Sale Committee reserves the right to decide any

point not covered by the Rules which the Committee considers neces-sary in the proper regulations and management of the sale. The decision of the Committee shall be final in all cases.

13. All persons who attend the sale do so at their own risk and the Owners, Managers and Sale Staff assume no liability, legal or otherwise, for any accidents or property loss that may occur. All Buyers, Bidders and those otherwise in attendance agree to these conditions and are bound thereby.

GlenbirnaM black anGusGlenbirnam Farm has consigned bulls to the Vanderhoof Bull Sale for 20 years. The first calf registered under the Glenbir-nam prefix was Glenbirnam Elsie 1Y in 1990.

We are pleased to have 3 bulls entered in the 2014 Vanderhoof All Breed Bull Sale that are a result of our breeding program.

All bulls have been home raised with no feed additives and were fed on local hay and a controlled amount of a formulated bull ration. They are all sons of Gumbo Gulch Pendleton 93X purchased at the Gumbo Gulch bull sale in Dawson Creek. We selected this bull for his length, correctness and performance.

We try to select herd sires both from within the herd and out-sourced to constantly improve on performance. All cows are naturally bred, and calves are raised on pasture with no creep feeding. In 2011 all cows were tested for and were found free of BVD and Johne’s disease.

Most of our bulls stay within the Central Interior and we wish to say a sincere thank you to all our buyers. We appreciate your business and hope that these bulls perform as well or better than their predecessor.
