The VAP – Vocational Assistance Program of RK Logistics Group is a program created to introduce college and high school students (over the age of 18) to the workforce, and specifically to the world of logistics. We work with local schools to identify possible, interested candidates for the program. These candidates then apply, may receive an interview and possibly get hired if selected for the program. This is a part time, hourly paid position, not an internship. RK believes that one of the best ways to learn Logistics is to get on the job training. Therefore, we encourage anyone with interest in the industry to apply for these positions. If you have worked in a warehouse before, great! If not, we will introduce you, based on your entry level skill sets and ability to perform the essential functions of the job. Additionally, we work to schedule the VAP work day and shift around the need of RK as well as the apprentice’s school class schedule. We run Day, Swing and Grave shifts, as well as Weekends.
