Vedauwoo & Blair Directions: e most popular and easiest way to get to this trail system is to get off Interstate 80 at exit 329 and take Vedauwoo Road to the main entrance of Vedauwoo. ere are many places to park and picnic here. Another popular access point is through the Blair Picnic Area. To get there, get off Interstate 80 at exit 323, head toward the rest area but keep going past it. At the top of the hill the pavement will end at a cattle guard. Follow the dirt road aſter the cattle guard for about 5 miles until you get to the entrance of the picnic area. Vedauwoo may be better know for it’s rock climbing but there are over 20 miles of trails through this area for hiking, moun- tain biking, and horseback riding. e best known trail is Turtle Rock Trail. It is very popular with mountain bikers and it is also the only trail in this system that is marked and maintained by the forest service. e rest of the trail system works it’s way around meadows, trees, and a different unique rock feature can be found around every bend. We’ve added the major trails that are easy to follow but there are more stock trails, game trails, and old roads in the area begging to be explored.
