Section 612 of the Clean Air Act Amendments of 1990 requires EPA to publish lists ofacceptable and unacceptable alternatives for ozone depleting substances (ODSs). To completethese lists, the Significant New Alternatives Policy (SNAP) program is evaluating both new andexisting alternatives to ODSs within a comparative risk framework. The majority of cleaning products sold by companies listed in this document areacceptable under the SNAP program for use as CFC-113 or MCF replacements. However, it isthe user's responsibility to ensure that products selected to replace CFCs and methyl chloroformare acceptable substitutes under the SNAP Program.
