Our customised systems include:

1. Raw water ponds - blends the incoming associated water to produce a consistent raw water quality to feed the water.

2. Disc filtration - screens suspended particles from the water using a bank of disc filters.

3. Ultra-filtration - filters the remainder of suspended particles from the water using an extremely fine membrane filtration system.

4. Ion exchange - removes the hardness from the water.

5. Reverse osmosis - removes the remainder of dissolved salts from the water.

6. Post-treatment remineralisation - a precise amount of minerals are added to the treated water and the pH is corrected to ensure the treated water meets the quality requirements of SunWater before it is released for irrigation and beneficial reuse.

7. Brine concentration and storage - concentrates the dissolved salts from the reverse osmosis process through thermal evaporation.

8. Power Island - power the entire plant’s energy needs through natural gas-fired generators.
