Yale VeracitorTM VX SeriesThis series of trucks is available in threeconfigurations.The VeracitorTM Base truck offers first-rateperformance for standard-duty applications,geared to minimise cost of acquisitionwithout compromising performance.The VeracitorTM Value truck provides excellentperformance for standard and medium-dutyapplications, optimised for lowest hourlyoperation cost .The VeracitorTM Productivity truck deliversmaximum performance for medium to heavy-duty applications with state-of-the artfeatures and industry leading power. EnginesEngines feature a rigid cast iron block andmain bearing caps.Hydraulic valve lifters eliminate the need formanual adjustment. All engines includehardened exhaust valve seats, the GMengine’s valves are stellite coated forsuperior durability. All engines are Tier 2emissions compliant featuring closed loopemissions regulation systems that continuallymonitor exhaust and adjust fuel/air mix. TheGM engine also features an electronic throttlefor precise performance and control.Fuel SystemThe Mazda LPG engine uses a single barrelnon adjustable carburetor with an LPGinjector and a regulator/vaporizer. The EngineControl Unit controls the LPG injector fueling.The GM LPG use sequential port fuelinjection, vaporiser/ regulator to convert fuelfrom a liquid to a gas for vapor injection. TheEngine Control Unit (ECU) electronicallycontrols the fuel/air mix, and spark advanceto provide the necessary torque. The ECUinputs include manifold air pressuretemperature, engine coolant temperature,accelerator pedal position, throttle position,engine speed, cam signal, and oxygen sensorsignal.The Yanmar fuel system has an Electro-mechanical controlled throttle providingexcellent response time. Super quick glowplugs allow the engine to start quickly andreliably under cold conditions, the cold startdevice delivering a cleaner exhaust byadvancing the fuel injection timing based onwater temperature. Emissions have beenreduced by controlling fuel injection timingaccording to engine load. TransmissionFour transmission selections are availablewith multiple engine configurations for a widevariety of material handling applications. 1) Standard Electronic features electronicinching, electric shift control, neutral start
switch, anti-restart protection and heavy dutyclutch packs. A single pedal controls both inching andbraking, optional dual inch/brake pedals areavailable if preferred. A 100 mesh suction anda 10 micron return line filtration protect thetransmission from abrasive contaminants.2) The Techtronix 100 has all the StandardElectronic features plus Auto DecelerationSystem through the controlled application ofclutch packs, reduces tyre spin by preciselyregulating engine speed during controlledpower reversals.3) The Techtronix 200 has all the Techtronix100 features, plus Auto Speed Hydraulicswith Automatic Inching Control. Thisautomatically increases engine RPM ashydraulic functions are actuated, whilemaintaining control over vehicle speed. Thethrottle response management featureprovides travel speed as a direct result ofpedal position, improving truck control. 4) The Techtronix 200X has all theTechtronix 200 features, plus Two SpeedAuto Shift (2 x forward, 1 x reverse).Extended drawbar pull and Dynamic AutoDeceleration System.Cooling System The cooling system employs a 43cm bladepusher- type fan. A permanently lubricatedwater pump and a high capacity, cross-flowradiator ensure rapid heat dissipation. Thesealed cooling system operates at 15 psi, thecoolant recovery tank allows visual inspectionof coolant level. A transmission oil cooler isintegrated into the radiator, located in theside tank. The optional combicooler radiatorfeatures an externally mounted transmissionoil cooler for increased heat transfercapability. All radiators are soft mounted fordurability.Drive AxleThe drive axle is designed to withstandheavy-duty applications and absorb shockloads. It is a “self contained” assemblyisolated from the transmission by a heavy-duty rubber isolator. The axle shafts utilize a“rolled fillet” root spline design for increasedresistance to torsion stress. A magnetic sumpplug collects any metal particles circulating inthe axle oil to prevent component wear.BrakesBrakes are duo-servo hydraulic, self-energizing, and automatic adjusting drumbrake assemblies. Asbestos-free brakelinings are bonded to steel shoes operating incast iron drums on the Base and Valuemodels. The Productivity models have oilimmersed brakes as standard. The singlecircuit master cylinder has sealed fluidreservoir and features a fluid level sensor
which activates an indicator light on theinstrument panel.Hydraulic Power SteeringHydrostatic steering provides responsivecontrol and eliminates mechanical linkagesfor reduced surface shock and simplifiedmaintenance. The steering wheel is 30cm indiameter with a textured surface grip andspinner knob, and requires only four turnslock-to-lock. The centre mounted steercylinder is located within the confines of thesteer axle for protection.Steer AxleConstructed from cast steel, the steer axle isrubber shock mounted to the frame forreduced wear and vibration. The CSE(Continuous Stability Enhancement) systemenhances lateral truck stability throughreduced steer axle articulation, whilesimultaneously allowing uncompromiseduneven surface travel.Operator’s CompartmentBase truck features cowl mounted hydrauliccontrol levers positioned on the right side ofthe steering column.Value and Productivity trucks featureAccutouch or PalmtechTM electrohydrauliccontrols integrated into the operator’s right-side armrest for superior ergonomicactuation. Automotive-style pedal arrangement with alarge, single inch/brake pedal is standard. Intellix Vehicle System Management (VSM)VSM acts as a master truck controller,providing extensive monitoring and control oftruck functions and systems.CANbus technology reduces wiringcomplexity and enables communicationsbetween truck systems. The dash displaytransmits continual feedback to the operatorand allows communication of service codes.On-board diagnostics enable quick and easytroubleshooting. The electrical systemfeatures sealed connectors and Hall Effectsensors for superior dependability.Hydraulic SystemHydraulic system incorporates a gear typepump with cast iron body for quiet efficiency.The system is protected from overloads by amain relief valve for the lift circuit andsecondary relief valve for tilt and auxiliaryfunctions. Oil is double filtered through a 100mesh suction line strainer and 10 micronreturn line filter. Hydraulic tank is integratedinto the frame.For Accutouch or PalmtechTM joystickelectrohydraulic controls, an emergencylowering valve is provided to allow the load tobe lowered in the event of power loss. O-ringface seal fittings are used in all high pressurehydraulic connections.
