PRESS RELEASE April 2016 Verde SW1 Tops Out Aukett Swanke architects’ striking office re-development Verde SW1, located in the heart of Victoria, London, has topped out. Located within 150 meters of a new entrance to Victoria Station, one of London’s busiest transportation hubs, Verde SW1 features 282,000 sq ft of grade ‘A’ office space across ten floors and six expansive roof gardens totalling more than 20,000 sq ft. The building features a dramatic triple-height reception and nine-storey high glazed atrium. The six communal roof gardens will create a “park in the sky” with far reaching views across London overlooking St James Park and Buckingham Palace. In addition, 440 bicycle spaces with a dedicated entrance for cyclists will be provided. Originally developed in 1995, the building’s current reconstruction work began in September 2014 and is expected to complete by the end of 2016. From basement to rooftop, every detail has been designed to create a modern state of the art office for businesses and employees to thrive and enjoy the space. Verde SW1 has been designed to the highest environmental and sustainable standards, with a target to achieve BREEAM “Excellent” rating. Tenants will be able to track their own energy consumption with on-site energy and carbon footprint monitoring and reporting.
