Excursion - Golden Circle Classic

Visit the classical sights of South West Iceland known as the ‘Golden Circle’ – a collection ofIceland’s most popular natural wonders and geological phenomena. The many highlights ofthis tour include the volcanic crater lake Kerið, Gullfoss waterfall, the queen of Iceland’swaterfalls that tumbles down a deep meandering gorge, and the nearby world-famous Geysirgeothermal field, where hot springs are in abundance, geysers explode and pools of mudbubble. The most active geyser, Strokkur, spouts water high into the air every 15 minutes. Avisit to the Geysir museum is also included, an informative multimedia exhibition that vividlyshows how the forces of nature shaped the country and the people. Finally, but no lessspectacular is a visit to the Thingvellir National Park, an area of exceptional beauty and theoriginal site of the oldest existing parliament in the world.
