  • Very rare 1968 Dodge Polara convertible. Just over 100,000 miles. Purchased in

1973. I’ve owned for 46 years. I have all records. Driven for 5 years. then stored

winters. Repainted with original color and clear coated. Only serious buyers and

someone who wants to keep it in original condition. Never driven hard. Serious

    buyers only. $15,700 OBO.

  • Purchased from original owner in 1973 with 25,000 miles and never

driven in winter, it is a 2bbl, 383 automatic, now very rare. I knew

convertibles were being phased out. So, I put an ad in the paper

“wanted full size convertible, low miles”. I got 2 calls. One was a chevy,

with a dented front bumper. The Dodge was perfect, with original

spare. The guy I bought it from was trading it in on a new 73 chevy, so I

actually bought it from the dealer, “as is”, not even a tail light warranty.

It was my only car for 5 years, and I even had studded snow tires

mounted on rims. Since 1978, It has only been driven in summer and

stored winters. I have the original window sticker. Hub caps were

special ordered. New Hankook radials in 2016. When I got the new

tires, I had the original spare (never used) filled and the valve stem

broke off, it had rotted with age. The tech felt so bad he put a new one

on for free, I thought it was funny. It has original seat belts and

SHOULDER BELTS. Front seat covers replaced few years ago.

Dual exhausts installed in 1999 to original specs, and twin turbos

installed. Minor rust removed and repainted in 2010 with original

color, with clear coat added. I backed into an abutment and dented the

back bumper, so while it was being painted, I had the dent taken out

and re-chromed and installed after painting was complete.

I have all the history of repairs over my 46 years of owning the car. It

now has little over 100,000 miles on original motor and transmission. I

don’t drive it hard but is a cruiser.
