The digital display shows the current timewhen the ignition switch is turned to ON.Press the MODE button to cycle throughthe modes and select total odometermode.

Effettuare la pressione prolungata delpulsante MODE per entrare in modalità"regolazione ore" confermata dal lam-peggio. Ad ogni pressione breve del pul-sante MODE l'ora viene incrementata diuna unità.

Press and hold the MODE button to enter'hours' setting mode. The values flash toconfirm that the setting mode is active.Each time the MODE button is pressedbriefly increases the hours value by one.

Una volta regolate le ore, effettuare lapressione prolungata del pulsante MO-DE per entrare in modalità "regolazioneminuti" confermata dal lampeggio. Adogni pressione breve del pulsante MO-DE i minuti vengono incrementati di unaunità.

Regolati i minuti, effettuare la pressioneprolungata del pulsante MODE per usciredalla modalità di regolazione orologio.

Se non si preme nessun pulsante per piùdi 5 secondi, si uscirà dalla modalità diregolazione orologio.

ATTENZIONE

PER MOTIVI DI SICUREZZA LA REGO-LAZIONE DELL'OROLOGIO È POSSI-BILE ESCLUSIVAMENTE CON LA VE-LOCITÀ DEL VEICOLO PARI A 0 KM/H.

After setting the hours value, press andhold the MODE button to enter 'minutes'setting mode. The values flash to confirmthat the setting mode is active. Each timethe MODE button is pressed briefly in-creases the minutes value by one.

After setting the minutes value, press andhold the MODE button to exit clock set-ting mode.

If no buttons are pressed within 5 sec-onds, the clock setting mode is exitedautomatically.

Premendo brevemente il tasto «MODE»,l'indicatore consente di visualizzare cicli-camente le seguenti funzioni:

Per azzerare gli odometri parziali spo-starsi su «TRIP A» o «TRIP B» ed effet-tuare la pressione prolungata del tasto«MODE». Effettuare la pressione prolun-gata del tasto «MODE» mentre si visua-lizza l'odometro «TOTAL» per accederealla regolazione dell'orologio.

OFF «2»: Accensione inibita, chiave nonestraibile, antifurto meccanico disinseri-to. Possibilità di apertura sella e aperturabauletto.

CLOSE «3»: Accensione inibita, chiaveestraibile, antifurto meccanico disinseri-to. Apertura sella e apertura bauletto ini-bite.

LOCK «4»: Accensione inibita, chiaveestraibile, antifurto meccanico inserito.Apertura sella e apertura bauletto inibite.

SWITCH POSITIONS

ON «1»: Ready to start position, non-ex-tractable key, mechanical anti-theft de-vice disabled. Saddle opening and caseopening possible.

OFF «2»: Ignition disabled, non-extract-able key, mechanical anti-theft devicedisabled. Saddle opening and caseopening possible.

CLOSE «3»: Ignition disabled, extracta-ble key, mechanical anti-theft device dis-abled. Saddle opening and case openingdisabled.

The low beam headlamp is lit when thelight selector switch A is turned to 0. Turn-ing the switch to 1 turns on the high beamheadlamp.

DO NOT REST OR TRANSPORT OB-JECTS AND/OR CLOTHING ON TOPOF THE FRONT LIGHT ASSEMBLYWITH THE LIGHT ON OR JUSTTURNED OFF. FAILURE TO OBSERVETHIS PRECAUTION MAY CAUSE THEGLASS TO OVERHEAT AND CONSE-QUENTLY MELT.

ASR SYSTEM

The ASR system is a device to help ridingthat helps the rider during accelerationmanoeuvres, especially on slippery sur-faces or in conditions that can cause sud-den slippage of the rear wheel. The ASRin these situations automatically inter-venes by reducing engine output withinthe limit imposed by the grip conditions,contributing significantly to the mainte-nance of stability the vehicle.

It is how-ever necessary to repeat the process un-til it succeeds.

Per aumentare la protezione contro il fur-to, il veicolo dotato di un sistema elettro-nico di blocco del motore «PIAGGIOIMMOBILIZER» che si attiva automati-camente estraendo la chiave di avvia-mento. Infatti al momento dell'avviamen-to il Sistema «PIAGGIO IMMOBILIZER»interroga la chiave e solo dopo il ricono-scimento di quest'ultima il Sistema per-mette la messa in moto del veicolo.

Operation

Each time the ignition key is removedwhile in the "CLOSE" or "LOCK" position,the protection system engages the im-mobilizer. Turning the key to "ON" disa-bles the engine lock, provided that theprotection system recognises the codetransmitted by the key. If the code is notrecognised, turn the key first to "OFF"and then to "ON"; if the lock cannot bedisabled, try with the other key supplied(brown). If the engine still cannot be star-ted, an Authorised Piaggio ServiceCentre with the electronic equipmentnecessary to identify the problem and re-pair the system must be contacted.

When requesting additional keys, re-member that the registration (up to amaximum of 3 keys) must be performedfor all the keys, including the news onesand those already in your possession.Take the key with the brown grip and allthe blue keys supplied to an AuthorisedPiaggio Service Centre. Programming the immobilizersystem (01_24)

Below is described the procedure to fol-low for programming the PIAGGIO IM-MOBILISER system and/or for storingother key codes. The programming pro-cedure should be carried out with theengine stop switch set to "RUN".

INIZIO PROCEDURA

Introdurre nel commutatore a chiave (inposizione «CLOSE») la chiave «MA-STER», ruotandola in posizione «ON».Lasciare in questa posizione la chiaveper un tempo compreso tra 1 e 3 secondi,dopodiché ritornare in posizione «CLO-SE» ed estrarre la chiave.

START PROCEDURE

From the "CLOSE" position, insert the"MASTER" key and turn it to the "ON"position. Leave the key in this position for1 to 3 seconds, then return it to the"CLOSE" position and remove the key.

FASE INTERMEDIA

Dopo aver estratto la chiave «MA-STER», introdurre la chiave secondariada programmare entro 10 secondi e ruo-tarla subito in posizione «ON». Lasciarela chiave in tale posizione per un tempocompreso tra 1 e 3 secondi, successiva-mente tornare in posizione «CLOSE» edestrarla. In questo modo ripetendo lasuddetta operazione e rispettando i tempiindicati, possono essere programmateun massimo di 3 chiavi.

INTERMEDIATE STAGE

Quest'ultimo viene fornito insieme allechiavi ed abbinato, in fabbrica, alla cen-tralina di comando del dispositivo di aper-tura. È comunque possibile, in caso dismarrimento del telecomando, richieder-ne uno nuovo e riprogrammarlo.

• Premendo per circa 3 secondi ipulsanti «1» o «2» del teleco-mando, il dispositivo «Bike Fin-der» permetterà l'apertura a di-stanza della sella ed il riconosci-mento del veicolo con unsegnale ottico tramite un lam-peggio degli indicatori di direzio-ne. Mantenendo premuti uno diquesti due pulsanti, il sistemacontinuerà a ripetere le opera-zioni precedentemente descrittefino al rilascio del pulsante stes-so.

• Premendo invece i pulsanti «3»o «4» del telecomando, il dispo-sitivo «Bike Finder» sarà attiva-to solamente per il riconosci-mento del veicolo emettendo

Saddle opening remotecontrol (01_25)

The vehicle is equipped with a remotecontrol to open the saddle and for therecognition of the vehicle itself.

This remote control is supplied togetherwith the keys and it has been program-med to control the opening device controlunit at the manufacturing stage. If the re-mote control is lost, a new one can berequested and programmed.

• By pressing the buttons «1» or«2» of the remote control forabout 3 seconds, the «BikeFinder» device will allow theopening at a distance of the sad-dle and the recognition of thevehicle with an optical signal byflashing the turn indicator. Whileholding one of the two buttons,the system will continue to re-peat the operation describedabove until the button is re-leased.

• By instead pressing the buttons«3» or «4» of the remote control,the «Bike Finder» device will beonly activated for the recognitionof the vehicle by emitting quick

Quando si rileva una riduzione del raggiodi azione o in caso di mancato funziona-mento, può rendersi necessaria la sosti-tuzione delle batterie. In questo casooccorre disaccoppiare i due semiguscidel telecomando inserendo la punta di uncacciavite a taglio in un punto del bordoesterno e quindi percorrerne tutta la cir-conferenza.

Accedere quindi all'interno e sfilare le duebatterie dalla lamella di contatto. Posizio-nare le due nuove batterie di tipoCR2016 con il polo positivo rivolto versola lamella di contatto. Rimontare infine iltelecomando accoppiando i due semigu-sci a scatto esercitando una leggerapressione con le dita.

Per l'apertura della sella senza l'utilizzodel telecomando, è possibile procederesecondo quanto descritto alla sezione«Apertura sella».

The remote control is powered by internalbatteries that get discharged after exten-ded used; If the LED turns on when thebutton is pressed, the remote control isworking properly.

You may need to replace the batteries ifthe remote control fails or if its range ofoperation is reduced. To separate the twohalves of the remote control, insert theblade of a plain slot screwdriver at onepoint on the edge and slide it all around.

Once the remote control is open, removethe two batteries from the contact termi-nal. Install the two new CR2016 batterieswith the positive pole facing the contactterminal. Reassemble the remote controlby pressing the two clip-on halves gentlywith your fingers.

To open the saddle itself without usingthe remote control, it is possible to pro-ceed as described in section «Saddleopening».

Qualora si presentasse la necessità dicancellare un radiocomando dalla me-moria del dispositivo, sarà necessario ri-petere 4 volte la procedura di apprendi-mento anche con lo stesso radiocoman-do, in modo da recuperare le 4 memoriepreviste.

PER MEMORIZZARE ALTRI TELECO-MANDI, (MASSIMO 4), È NECESSARIORIPETERE TUTTA LA PROCEDURA.

Remote control programming(01_26)To program the new radio commands,operate as described below:

The vehicle is equipped with a systemconnected to the side stand which inhibitsengine starting when the side stand is ex-tended. The engine cannot be started ifthe side stand is extended, and stops ifthe side stand is extended while the en-gine itself is running.

To start the engine, place the vehicle onthe centre stand, ensuring the rear wheelis not touching the ground.

Turn the ignition switch to ON and wait forthe engine management warning lamp toextinguish.

Livello olio motore

Nei motori 4T l'olio motore viene utilizzatoper lubrificare gli organi della distribuzio-ne, i cuscinetti di banco e il gruppo termi-co. Un quantitativo insufficiente di oliopuò provocare gravi danni al motorestesso. In tutti i motori 4T il decadimentodelle caratteristiche dell'olio, così comeun certo consumo, sono da ritenersi nor-mali. I consumi in particolare potrannorisentire delle condizioni d' uso (es.: gui-dando sempre "in pieno gas" il consumodi olio aumenta). In funzione del conte-nuto totale di olio nel motore e dei con-sumi medi rilevati secondo modalità stan-dardizzate vengono definite le frequenzedi sostituzione previste dal programma dimanutenzione. Allo scopo di prevenirequalsiasi inconveniente, si raccoman-da di controllare il livello dell'olio piùfrequentemente rispetto a quanto in-dicato nella tabella di ManutenzioneProgrammata o prima di intraprenderelunghi spostamenti. Il veicolo è co-munque dotato di una spia di segna-lazione della pressione olio inseritanella strumentazione.

Engine oil level

Four stroke engine oil is used in the en-gines in order to lubricate the timing bod-ies, the bench bearings and the head-engine block-piston assembly. Aninsufficient quantity of oil can serious-ly damage the engine. In all four-strokeengines, a loss of efficiency in oil per-formance and certain consumptionshould be considered normal. Consump-tion can particularly reflect the conditionsof use (i.e: when driving at 'full accelera-tion' all the time, oil consumption increa-ses). The replacement intervals providedfor by the maintenance programme aredefined depending on the total content ofoil in the engine and the average con-sumption measured following standar-dised methods. In order to prevent anyproblems, we recommend checkingoil level more frequently than indica-ted in the Scheduled Maintenance ta-ble or before setting off on longjourneys. The vehicle is, however,equipped with an oil pressure warninglight on the instrument cluster.

Ogni volta che si utilizza il veicolo, a mo-tore freddo, deve essere effettuata la ve-rifica del livello dell'olio motore, (dopoaver rimosso il tappo/astina dalla posi-zione completamente avvitata) che de-ve risultare compreso tra gli indici di MAXe MIN riportati sull'astina «A»; durante ilcontrollo il veicolo deve essere con il ca-valletto centrale poggiato su superficieorizzontale.

Qualora la verifica venisse eseguita dopoaver impiegato il veicolo, quindi con mo-tore caldo, la linea di livello risulterà piùbassa; per effettuare una corretta verificaè necessario aspettare almeno 10 minutidopo l'arresto del motore, in modo daavere il livello corretto.

Engine oil level check (03_01,03_02)

Every time the vehicle is used, visuallyinspect the level of the engine oil whenthe engine is cold (after completely un-screwing the oil cap/dipstick). The oillevel should be somewhere between theMAX and MIN index marks on the levelrod; «A»; while the oil is being checked,the vehicle must be resting on its centrestand on an even, horizontal surface.

If the check is carried out after the vehiclehas been used, and therefore with a hotengine, the level will be lower; in order tocarry out a correct check, wait at least 10minutes after the engine has been stop-ped so as to get the correct level.

The oil should be topped up after havingchecked the level and in any case byadding oil without ever exceeding theMAX. level. Check and top up engine oil,if needed, according to the scheduledmaintenance table at an AuthorisedService Centre.

Il veicolo è dotato di una spia di segnala-zione che si accende ruotando la chiavein posizione «ON». Tale spia deve peròspegnersi una volta avviato il motore. Nelcaso in cui la spia si accenda duranteuna frenata, al minimo o in curva è ne-cessario procedere ad una verifica dellivello ed a un eventuale rabbocco.Qualora, dopo aver fatto il rabbocco, ilfenomeno di accensione in frenata, alminimo o in curva persista, sarà ne-cessario rivolgersi ad un Punto di As-sistenza Autorizzato.

The vehicle is equipped with a warninglight that comes on when the key is turnedto «ON». This warning light will turn offwhen the engine comes on. If the lightcomes on while braking, at idle speedor while turning a corner, it is neces-sary to check the oil level and top it upif required. If after having topped-upthe oil, the warning light still comes onwhile braking, at idle speed or whileturning a corner, it will be necessaryto take your vehicle to an AuthorisedService Centre.

Verificare che vi sia olio nel mozzo po-steriore. Per il controllo del livello oliomozzo, operare nel modo seguente:

1) Portare il veicolo su un terreno piano emetterlo sul cavalletto.

2) Svitare l'asta olio «A», asciugarla conun panno pulito e reinserirla avvitandolacompletamente.

3) Estrarre l'asta e controllare che il livellodell'olio sfiori la tacca inferiore.

Hub oil level (03_05, 03_06)

Check that there is oil in the rear hub. Tocheck the rear hub oil level, proceed asfollows:

1) Park the scooter on level ground andrest it on its stand.

2) Unscrew dipstick «A», wipe it cleanwith a cloth, reinsert it and tighten com-pletely.

3) Pull out the dipstick and check that theoil level is above the first notch from thebottom.

4) Reinsert the dipstick and ensure that itis tightened correctly.

1. Sollevare la sella «A».

2. Sollevare il vano casco «B» e accede-re alla candela stessa infilando la mano.

3. Scollegare il cappuccio del cavo A.T.della candela «C».

4. Svitare la candela servendosi di un'ap-posita chiave per candele.

5. Al rimontaggio imboccare con la dovu-ta inclinazione la candela avvitandola amano a fondo.

6. Servirsi della chiave solo per il bloc-caggio.

7. Inserire a fondo il cappuccio sulla can-dela.

Spark plug dismantlement(03_08, 03_09)

Proceed as follows:

1. Lift the saddle «A».

2. Lift the helmet compartment «B» andaccess the spark plug by reaching in withyour hand.

3. Disconnect the HV spark plug cablecap «C».

4.Undo the spark plug using the specificspark plug spanner.

5.When refitting, place the spark plug intothe hole at the required angle and fingertighten it as far as it will go.

6.Use the wrench only to tighten it.

7. Fit the cap on the spark plug as far asit will go.

Il raffreddamento del motore è del tipo acircolazione forzata di liquido, il circuito direfrigerazione contiene un liquido costi-tuito da miscela al 50% di acqua demi-neralizzata e soluzione antigelo a base diglicole etilenico ed inibitori di corrosione.Il liquido che viene fornito in confezione ègià miscelato e pronto all'uso.

Con motore avviato, nel caso di tempe-ratura motore eccessiva si accenderàl'apposita spia sul cruscotto; far raffred-dare il motore e controllare il livello delliquido; se risulta regolare rivolgersi ad unPunto di Assistenza Autorizzato.

NOTA BENE

Cooling fluid level (03_11,03_12, 03_13, 03_14)

The cooling of the engine operates byforced circulation of liquid. The coolingcircuit contains a coolant, made up of amixture of 50% purified water and 50%glycoethylene antifreeze with corrosioninhibitors. The liquid that is found in thecontainer is already mixed and ready touse.

With engine on, in case of excessive en-gine temperature, the correspondingwarning light on the instrument panelturns on; let the engine cool down andcheck the fluid level; if it is as it should be,go to an Authorised Service Centre.

N.B.

IF THE ENGINE COOLANT WARNINGLAMP ILLUMINATES WHILE RIDING,TURN THE ENGINE OFF IMMEDIATE-LY AND LEAVE IT TO COOL. THENCHECK THE COOLANT LEVEL; IF THELEVEL IS INCORRECT, CONTACT ANAUTHORISED SERVICE CENTRE.

NEVER REMOVE THE EXPANSIONTANK CAP WHILE THE ENGINE ISHOT.

Il controllo del liquido deve essere effet-tuato a motore freddo secondo quantoriportato sulla tabella di manutenzioneprogrammata e secondo le modalità diseguito indicate:

1. Porre il veicolo in posizione verticalesul cavalletto e rimuovere la vite «A» delcoperchio vaso espansione indicata in fo-to.

2. Verificare il livello del liquido che devetrovarsi sempre compreso tra livello min.e livello max «B» ricavati sul serbatoio.

4. Eseguire l'eventuale rabbocco, a mo-tore freddo, qualora il livello del liquido sitrovi prossimo al minimo.

Se si verifica la necessità di procederefrequentemente a rabbocchi del liquido diraffreddamento oppure se il vaso diespansione risulta completamenteasciutto, occorre ricercare la causa nel-l'impianto di raffreddamento. È quindi in-dispensabile far ispezionare l'impianto diraffreddamento ad un Punto di Assi-stenza Autorizzato. La sostituzione delliquido refrigerante deve essere effettua-ta secondo quanto riportato sulla tabelladi manutenzione programmata. Per que-sta operazione rivolgersi ad un Punto diAssistenza Autorizzato.

4. If necessary, perform the top up, withthe engine cold, in the case that you findthe liquid is too close to the minimum lev-el.

If the coolant needs to be topped up fre-quently or the expansion tank is com-pletely dry, check the cooling system tofind the cause of the problem. It is essen-tial to have the cooling system checkedat an Authorised Service Centre. Re-place coolant as indicated in the sched-uled maintenance table. This operationmust be carried out at an AuthorisedService Centre.

Controllo livello liquido freni(03_15)

I serbatoi del liquido freni anteriore e po-steriore sono posizionati sul manubrio.Procedere come segue:

- Portare il veicolo sul cavalletto centralee con manubrio centrato;

- Controllare il livello del liquido attraver-so la relativo indicatore trasparente «A».

Un certo abbassamento del livello si ve-rifica a causa della usura delle pastiglie.Nel caso in cui il livello risulti inferiore alminimo, rivolgersi ad un Concessiona-rio o un Punto di Assistenza Autoriz-zato per effettuare un controllo accuratodel sistema frenante.

Checking the brake oil level(03_15)

The front and rear brake fluid reservoirsare both positioned on the handlebar.Proceed as follows:

- Rest the vehicle on its centre stand withthe handlebars perfectly horizontal;

- Check the fluid level through the sightglass «A».

A drop in the brake fuel level may becaused by pad wear. Should the level ap-pear to be below the minimum mark,please contact an Authorised ServiceCentre or Dealer in order to have a thor-ough inspection of the braking systemcarried out.

Lunga inattivitàIn caso di lunga inattività del veicolo, labatteria è sottoposta ad un decadimentodelle prestazioni. Questo avviene per ilnaturale fenomeno di autoscarica dellabatteria stessa e per possibili assorbi-menti residui del veicolo, dovuti ai com-ponenti con alimentazione costante. Ildecadimento delle prestazioni della bat-teria è inoltre funzione delle condizioniambientali e della pulizia dei poli. Per evi-tare possibili difficoltà di avviamento e/odanneggiamenti irreversibili della batte-ria, è opportuno procedere secondo unadelle seguenti modalità:

- Almeno una volta al mese avviare ilmotore e mantenerlo a regimi legger-mente superiori al minimo, per 10-15 mi-nuti. Ciò permette di mantenere efficien-te, oltre alla batteria, tutti i componenti delmotore.

- Effettuare il rimessaggio del veicolo (co-me indicato nella sezione «Il veicolo ri-mane inattivo») rimuovendo la batteria.Questa deve essere pulita, caricata com-pletamente e conservata in un luogoasciutto ed areato. Ripristinare la caricaalmeno una volta ogni due mesi.

NOTA BENE

LA RICARICA DELLA BATTERIA DE-VE ESSERE EFFETTUATA CON UNACORRENTE PARI A 1/10 DELLA CA-PACITÀ NOMINALE DELLA BATTE-RIA STESSA E PER NON PIÙ DI 10ORE. PER QUESTA OPERAZIONE ÈCOMUNQUE PREFERIBILE RIVOL-

Long periods of inactivityIf the vehicle is not used for a long time,the performance of the battery will dete-riorate. This is the result of the naturalphenomenon of battery discharging, andmay be due to residual absorption by ve-hicle components with constant powerconsumption. The deterioration of thebattery's performance is also the result ofenvironmental conditions and how cleanthe terminals are. To avoid any startingdifficulties and/or irreparable damage tothe battery, you should do the following:

- At least once a month start up the en-gine and turn it over at a speed slightlyabove idling, for 10-15 minutes. This willenable you to keep all the parts of the en-gine in working order as well as the bat-tery.

- Take your vehicle to a garage (as indi-cated in the «Vehicle not used for exten-ded periods» section) to have the batteryremoved. The battery must be cleaned,fully charged and kept in a dry, well aer-ated place. Charge the battery again atleast every two months.

Per rimuovere il gruppo ottico anterioreprocedere come segue:

1. rimuovere gli specchi retrovisori.

2. Rimuovere la vite «A» della calandrascudo anteriore.

3. Rimuovere la vite «B» di fissaggio co-primanubrio anteriore.

4. Rimuovere le viti di fissaggio «C» co-primanubrio posteriore.

5. Scostare il coprimanubrio anteriore.

Si accede così alle lampade. Ruotare laghiera ed estrarre la lampada del faro ab-bagliante/anabbagliante «D».

Al rimontaggio ripetere le operazioni insenso inverso.

To remove the front headlight assembly,proceed as follows:

1. Remove the rear-view mirrors.

2. Remove the screw «A» of the frontshield grille.

3. Remove the fixing screws «B» of thefront handlebar cover.

4. Remove the fixing screws «C» of therear handlebar cover.

5. Remove the front handlebar cover.

This gives access to the bulbs. Turn thering and take out the bulb of the high-beam/low-beam headlamp «D».

To reassemble, repeat the operation butin reverse order.

1. Porre il veicolo in condizione di utilizzocon pneumatici gonfiati alla pressioneprescritta, su terreno piano a 10 m. di di-stanza da uno schermo bianco situato inpenombra assicurandosi che l'asse delveicolo sia perpendicolare allo schermo;

2. Accendere il proiettore e verificare cheil confine del fascio luminoso proiettatosullo schermo non superi i 9/10 dell'al-tezza del centro del faro da terra e nonsia inferiore ai 7/10;

3. In caso contrario regolare il proiettoredestro agendo sulla vite «A».

Head light adjustment (03_27,03_28)

Proceed as follows:

1. Position the vehicle in running orderand with the tyres inflated to the prescri-bed pressure, onto a flat surface 10 maway from a half-lit white screen; ensurethat the longitudinal axis of the vehicle isperpendicular to the screen;

2. Turn on the headlight and check thatthe boundary of the light beam projectedonto the screen is not higher than 9/10 orlower than 7/10 of the distance betweenthe centre of the headlight and theground;

3. Otherwise, adjust the right headlightwith screw «A».

Per sostituire le lampade dei lampeggia-tori anteriori, rimuovere il fanalino toglien-do la vite di fissaggio "A", estrarre ilportalampada dalla sede; premere leg-germente la lampadina, ruotarla di circa30 ° e successivamente estrarla. Per ilmontaggio procedere in senso inverso.

Integrate negli indicatori di direzione an-teriori, sono presenti le luci di posizionedi tipo «LED». In caso di malfunziona-mento di quest'ultime, si consiglia di ri-volgersi presso un Punto di AssistenzaAutorizzato per la sostituzione.

Front direction indicators(03_29)

To replace the front turn indicator bulbs,remove the tail light taking out the retain-ing screw "A", remove the bulb holderfrom its fitting; gently turn the bulb around30º and remove it. Follow the process inreverse order to refit.

Integrated in the front turn indicators arethe daylight running lights of «LED» type.In the event of malfunction, we recom-mend contacting an Authorised ServiceCentre for replacement.

Si consiglia di effettuare le seguenti ope-razioni:

1. Effettuare la pulizia generale del vei-colo e successivamente coprirlo con untelo;

2. A motore fermo, smontare la candela,immettere dal foro di essa 1÷2 cc di olio.Azionare 1-2 volte il pulsante d'avvia-mento per circa 1 secondo facendo com-piere lentamente qualche giro al motore,quindi rimontare la candela;

3. Assicurarsi di avere il serbatoio car-burante ad almeno metà livello (in mo-do da assicurare la totale immersionedella pompa benzina); spalmare digrasso antiruggine le parti metalliche nonverniciate; tenere sollevate le ruote daterra appoggiando il telaio su due tassellidi legno;4. Per la batteria seguire le norme ripor-tate nella sezione «Batteria».

2. With the engine off, remove the sparkplug and pour 1 - 2 cm³ of oil through itshole. Operate the starter button 1-2 timesfor roughly 1 second to turn the engineover slowly, then insert the spark plugagain;

3. Ensure that the fuel tank is at leasthalf full (so that the fuel pump is fullycovered); spread antirust grease on theuncoated metal parts; keep the wheelslifted above the ground by resting thechassis on two wooden wedges;

4. As regards the battery, follow the in-structions in the «Battery» section.

Una adeguata manutenzione costituiscefattore determinante per una maggioredurata del veicolo in condizioni di funzio-namento e rendimento ottimali.

A tale scopo sono stati predisposti unaserie di controlli e di interventi di manu-tenzione a pagamento, raccolti nel qua-dro riepilogativo riportato nella paginaseguente. È buona norma che eventualipiccole anomalie di funzionamento sianosubito segnalate ad un Punto di Assi-stenza Autorizzato senza attendere, perportarvi rimedio, l'esecuzione del prossi-mo tagliando.

È indispensabile effettuare i Tagliandiagli intervalli di tempo prescritti anche senon è stato raggiunto il chilometraggioprevisto. La puntuale esecuzione dei ta-gliandi è necessaria per il corretto utilizzodella garanzia. Per tutte le altre informa-zioni riguardanti le modalità di applica-zione della Garanzia e l'esecuzione della"Manutenzione Programmata" si riman-da al "Libretto di Garanzia".

It is necessary to have your vehicle serv-iced to the prescribed intervals of time,even if you have not reached the predic-ted mileage.
