FREE 8-WEEK TRAININGTrainees are needed to fill current Pa ent Care Assistant posi ons at a major regional hospital. These posi ons require excellent customer service skills and the ability to complete an 8-week training program.

In order to enroll in the program, you MUST Meet the following requirements:
• Priority will be given to Veterans who have separated from the Military within the 48-Months prior to applica on and received a DD 214 for condi ons other than dishonorable. Other Veterans may qualify.
• Must be a Dislocated Worker: This typically means you have been laid-off from your previous job and are receiving unemployment benefits. Others may qualify. (Call: eligibility determined by One-Stop Staff)
• Must be a Los Angeles or Orange County Resident.
• Possess a High School Diploma or GED.
• Pass the Comprehensive Adult Student Assessment Systems test at 9th grade level for reading and math.
• Pass a background check (misdemeanors, felonies, DUIs, etc.) Must show proof of expungement documenta on for considera on. A charge and/or convic on of drugs for possession, sale, and/or the is not acceptable. • Pass TB and Drug Test.
• Possess perfect a endance habits (Program requires 100% a endance, each day for 8 weeks). • Previous health educa on training is accepted (excludes applicants with prior CNA, Medical Assistant training, or experience).
• Follow direc ons and work well with others.
• Maintain complete pa ent confiden ality.
• Possess a great a tude and passion for the concern of others.
• Physically fit: Manual dexterity to use/handle equipment and instruments, ability to perform essen al job func ons using proper body mechanics.
• Reliable transporta on to educa onal and clinical site. Training will be provided in Long Beach, CA.
• Able to support yourself financially during 7-8 weeks of training.
No previous medical knowledge required. Par cipants cannot have a criminal record.
