VFW Post 812 December’s News Letter

First of all, Wish everyone a

Happy Thanksgiving.

And a Merry Christmas!

I hope we sold enough tickets so we can afford to

have a “Happy New Years Party”, other wise we’ll

have to cancel on the 9th

of December when we find

out if we brought in enough money to pay the Band

and pay for the dinner & menudo. We simple don’t

have the money pay for it.

Mr Ed Flores, our Post Trustee should be getting out

of Beaumont Army Hospital shortly, I went to see him

today and he looked Great.

On December the 4 th

, The Ladies Auxiliary will have

Their ”Holiday Bazaar” from 10am till 4pm, let’s be

sure to give them our full support and come pick up

some Christmas Presents for the Holidays.

On the 20th

We will Hold our “Annual Children’s

Christmas Party” we all need to offer our support in

every way we can. I really can say, after all this years,

how well behaved the Children are. “Jerry’s Kids”, so

you can bet Jerry will be there.

Can you believe how fast this year has gone, we have

done a lot, but still there is a lot to do.

Pleased and talked to us about our upcoming events and

raffles for mid winter. We had a parade of transmittals and our

overall district membership is on track. Our auxiliary is

lagging on membership so please submit your dues as soon as

you can. Please contact Margaret at (915) 598-3973. Ladies

please try and attend our next meeting December 3, 2011 as

we will be discussing the 90th

Jerry is happy with the way our Post is operating. He personally

Purchased a Book of Tickets for our “New Year Eve Party”.

Even if he’s not able to attend. He is on top of everything going

on in our Post even if he not able to be present. That’s what year

of command teaches you.

Larry has really done a great job, and needs our support in

helping push our Post Hall Rentals. Poppy season is just about

on us, we already had to order our Post Poppy’s.
